You may think the quality of your life is important but this other person is a CEO of a major company. On Wednesday, they took out a lung and on Thursday your liver. Finally, they came for your heart on Friday.
You were a murderer, they said, for walking around with these things inside your body when you could save so many others. Your body is a ward of the state and you no longer have control over it.
Did you really think the lack of body autonomy didn't affect you?
For those on TikTok, I saw this video and I was like yes this here...and remember, we've given a ton of power to corporations in this country and profit over people so the lack of body autonomy is dangerous for everyone who isn't very wealthy. We know who will be left and what will be left of us.

The Broad-bodied chaser is a medium-sized, broad-bodied dragonfly that is on the wing from May to July, and occasionally into August. It is a common dragonfly of ponds and small lakes. It regularly returns to the same perch after swift flights out across the water looking for insects. Mating occurs on the wing, often taking less than a minute, after which the female will find a suitable spot to lay her eggs; she hovers over the water, dipping the tip of her abdomen in and dropping her eggs on to vegetation below the surface. I was milling around with a few other folks watching the activity at the river crossing late this afternoon. The action was pretty intense about now. There were horses in the trees behind me, bands of horses across the river, in the river, down the river. There was a lot going on and it was tough to decide what to focus on. Someone nearby said something like, "uh oh, trouble coming, look out behind you". I whirled around and pointed the camera, just in time to watch the chestnut body-slam and then kick at the gray. Geez.
Looking at the gray now, and the Righty gray in my post from yesterday, it's conceivable it's the same horse as this image is about 20 minutes before the gray pair posted yesterday. If that's so, then in the image from yesterday Lefty could be saying to Righty "Good job, you held your own against that rambunctious body-slammer." Furthermore, I'm elated I got any pics at all of this - straight into the setting sun practically. Lucky camera settings...
