The BMW i8 Roadster is futuristic right down to the last detail. Its imposing lightweight carbon-fibre dihedral doors are combined perfectly with the exclusive all-electric soft top roof for maximum effect. The distinctive V-shaped black belt stretches along the entire car, underscoring its seductive low-hung silhouette. What’s more, the impressive streamflow design, which optimises airflow and creates unprecedented aerodynamics.
Soft top roof, Dihedral Doors, LED Rear lights, Alloy wheels, Aerodynamic front with Laser High beam mode front lights.
The intelligent energy management of the BMW i8 Roadster coordinates the interaction between the electric motor and the updated lithium-ion battery with the combustion engine. It’s always geared towards maximum performance with minimum consumption. This creates enormous efficiency, with CO2 emissions of up to only 46g/km*.
The perfect car for the man with a tiny dick and lotsa money.

It says everything about Silverstone when the best off-circuit display at the British Grand Prix is put on by the local constabulary.
Amongst a fleet of vehicles parked up alongside the old start/finish straight was this brilliant BMW i8 demonstrator vehicle that is currently on loan to Northamptonshire Police.
Who knows? If the officers are very good the Chief Constable might get them one for Christmas!

...for me a special photo due to fact I've processed the photo. Normally I photograph nature, wildlife, landscape and you'll try to give a natural looking representation of your subject and don't do heavy processing. The photo above was taken at a car show in Rotterdam (Netherlands)

Static displays at the British Grand Prix are usually abysmal and this year, once again, was no exception to the rule. However, the local constabulary make a good attempt to make up for it.
For a couple of years Northamptonshire Police and the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) had a brilliant display of vehicles on show for the spectators.
Unfortunately, last year they were notable by their absence. Thankfully in 2019 they were back and as good as ever!

I was speaking to one of the officers on duty and his interpretation of the snazzy livery (see below) was "throw the stickers at the car and see where they landed". Enough said!
The officer also told me that the car had been opened up the day before and people were climbing inside for a picture and then posting the snaps on social media. BMW saw the pictures, made a phone call to the force overnight, and asked them to keep it locked up on race day. Spoilsports!

Northants did have an i8 demonstrator in battenburg livery on display at Silverstone back in 2016 (see below). Personally, I prefer the traditional look as opposed to this snazzy design.

"The future is taking shape – in the form of the new BMW i8 Coupé. Full of verve, fascinating and ready to newly define mobility. For unconditional driving pleasure, as far as the road goes. A mere glimpse of this iconic design elevates adrenaline levels. The tachometer shoots up just as fast: the innovative plug-in hybrid engine generates 374 hp and 570 Nm. Plus, it accelerates the new BMW i8 Coupé in just 4.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km. The fastest route to a new era..."

A stunning hybrid supercar.
This was a very challenging shoot in complete darkness - with the help of 2x flash + 6 smoke pellets :)
