This album single-handedly turned me on to hip-hop. I'll never forget watching the video to "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" on MTV, Jay-Z on the parade float.
And then that line: "Not guilty, he who does not feel me is not real to me, therefore he doesn't exist, so *poof*, vamoose son of a bitch."
I thought that was the coolest thing in the world.

Blueprint's performances are so intense that you'd think he'd be a little more intimidating but he was so super friendly. I didn't expect him to be mean but man, he was REALLY NICE! :)

Children's Playhouse Plans
Who would not remember playing on old wooden playhouses in the backyard with childhood friends? Spending time on the playhouse during lazy summer afternoons have been one of the favorite activities that we used to do as a child. We loved to act as family, and each of our friends play different roles. It did not matter if our playhouse looked old and rusty; everything was okay just as long as we had fun. Friendships were formed and memories are forever treasured.
As parents we always want the best for our children. From clothing, nutrition, food, shelter, and education; we want the finest of everything for them. Building the most excellent playhouse is one of them. After all we don’t want them to have the old and rustic playhouse we once had.
Having a beautiful playhouse is every child’s dream. For them it is like living in a fantasy world where they can function as adults. It is also a good training ground for children as they can learn to be responsible even at an early age.
Building your own playhouse can be easily done today. There are many readily available playhouse kits that one can assemble at home. Because there are many plans to choose from, picking the best can give you a headache. Before deciding on what to choose here are some tips on what playhouse plans you’re going to choose for your children.
•Check on the place you are planning to put the playhouse. Make sure that the measurement of playhouse plan fit well with your land area.
•Ask suggestions from your children before deciding on what playhouse plan you are going to choose. They are the one who will be using the playhouse so it would be best to build the playhouse basing on their tastes and specifications.
•Choose materials that will not be destroyed by different weather conditions. If you decide to choose wood, make sure that they are of good kind and quality that offers great support for the playhouse.
•Check your budget. See to it that the playhouse plan that you choose suits the money that you have. You may have the best looking playhouse but your pocket is drained then seeing the playhouse will be a pain in the eyes. Work on the playhouse basing on the budget that you have. It just takes creativity and innovativeness in order to have a beautiful playhouse that suits your budget.
Planning to build a playhouse for your children is not that easy. But, there are a lot of available resources where you can check on different playhouse plans that suit your specifications.
Thank goodness, I was able to check this site on the internet www.ezplayhouse.com. It was very easy finding the playhouse plan that my child loves.

Vivid Festival of Lights - Sydney 2014
From my brief adventure at Vivid, I've learnt some lessons which, although may seem like common sense, I think other novices may not think about when starting out:
1. Crucial to prepare & research to thoroughly understand the type of photography to be taken. Night photography is difficult and all I armed myself with was a tripod and extremely limited knowledge of long exposure. I had difficulty focusing in the dark & my choice of shutter speed needs improvement!
2. Determine the suitable settings for the location and do test shots well in advance. Otherwise, photos may turn out awful (blurred, underexposed etc) or the shot may be missed completely.
3. Editing is important. Think of it this way, we shouldn't send in a first draft of an essay or assignment before reading over it and making any necessary changes. Same applies for photography. Looking at it that way, I don't think editing is cheating rather it is about enhancing the photo and fixing problems that could not be corrected at the time. Took me a while to appreciate this.
4. Calibrate monitor! Initially, I worked from an ancient laptop, where the colour settings and brightness were off. The results: I looked on a different computer and the photos revealed some nasty surprises I didn't pick up before.
As a result, the original blueprint has been replaced with this (hopefully improved) photo. I just wasn't happy with what I posted originally. I really wanted to make the photo work as I waited for so long to capture that moment but it just wasn't salvageable.
