National Express West Midlands 4162 (Y759 YOH) heads along Coventry Road, Yardley, Birmigham. It is operating route 60 to Cranes Park on September 14th 2016. A very difficult stretch of dual carriageway, and most attmepts at buses were bowled, needless to say!

SPA came in CDG to operate an inbound Easter charter from Eilat/Ovda (LLC4176). While its Polish sister airline is an usual ad-hoc charter operator in CDG, the mother branch from Lithuania is not that common here.

Snaps of the Koenigsegg n CCXR Edition from the Top Gear show this year at the Birmingham NEC.
Possibly the most expensive car I've touched, at over a million quid... ouch.
The engine tune in the CCXR Edition develops 1,018 BHP at 7000 rpm and 797 ft•lb (1,081 Nm) of torque at 5600 rpm. The body is made from
The interior is also reworked and features: color matched leather carpets, Koenigsegg Edition side step plates, Edition chronograph instrument cluster, a new Edition only layout for the center console control panels, and features a special version of the Koenigsegg Chronocluster including a redesigned center console. All other extra equipment for the Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and CCX comes as standard: carbon wheels, special interior trim and color, rearview camera, Satnav or Bluetooth, amplifiers, complete Inconell exhaust system.
The Edition is fitted with a remapped, 4.8 litre twin-supercharged Koenigsegg engine, and has been track-tuned by the inclusion of modified shock absorbers, stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, reset dampers and a lowered chassis
The CCXR Edition was limited to a run of just four cars, of which this is one.

Laying on its side next to the joint NS Kansas City District-BNSF Brookfield Sub in Birmigham, MO is an old CB&Q searchlight signal, which was replaced earlier this year. 11/26/16.

The Metro Cammell unit has 'Kirckaldy' on the destination blind.
25084 moved south to Birmigham a few years later, and I photographed it again on banking duties at St Andrews Junction, even kept the Scottish connection!
Note the water tank and boiler port. Only five class 25's with this body style had boilers, 25083 - 7.
Kodachrome slides are a fiddle to scan, but the colours are wonderful.

Confusingly still called the Mk.III, the fourth generation Midget carried heavy black plastic bumpers front and rear to meet US safety regulations. Now powered by a Triumph Spitfire 1500 engine and gearbox, the car had a higher ride height than the earlier Midget again to comply with US safety regulations. The car carried an extra 200lbs of weight and was 3.5 inches longer overall. The rounded rear wheel arches of the late chrome bumper cars had also returned to a more square profile.
The new engine did provide the extra power to deal with the weight increase, bringing top speed up to 100mph
