The Big Bay skyline with the Coastal Mountains of British Columbia, Canada, rising behind Stuart Island.
Camden Stables Market. I posted a version of this food van back in Februarry but taken from the other side, where the artwork is different. On balance I think I prefer this version...see my album 2020 Camden to compare the two.
Look closely and you'll see the third eyelid closing across the eye.

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster, at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, England.
We are usually impressed by something big – be it a mighty building, a tall person, or simply an oversized pizza. The big picture asserts itself, takes up space, and demands attention. It appears powerful, loud, and impressive.
But the big picture never stands alone. Beneath its wheels lie countless small stones, inconspicuous and easily overlooked. Each one seems insignificant on its own – and yet together they bear the weight.
The small whispers where the big picture thunders. It lies in the details, in the silence, in the everyday. Without the many small things, the big picture would have no support.

I wish this artist had thought of a more inspiring name for his beautiful sculpture!
Big ole male gator swimming up to us in some very black water in a canal in the Florida Everglades. The monochrome look of the shot is as taken, this is not a B&W shot.
A massive cloud system looms in the background as P97 arrives into New Bern. The setting sun shines on the clouds and reflects onto the river, giving it a nice glow.
Happy Friday! Here's a little waterfall shot from Big Creek in the Great Smoky Mountains. This was the first waterfall I found while hiking upstream. Big Creek was my favorite spot in the Great Smokies. It had some of the best fall color and we only saw 3 or 4 other people all day. To get a slow shutter speed, I used a polarizer, ISO 50, and f/20.

That whole house is devoted to karaoke - and actually Big Echo is a brand name that you will see all over the Tokyo (and I would hazard a guess that they are quite popular outside of that city too). There are a lot of karaoke places as such, and Big Echo is the biggest one. They are owned by the Daiichi Kosho Company (founded in 1973 - which specialises in karaoke equipment).
At Big Sur State Park, the river flooded after early March rain.
Hope you have a good week! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

You and I and all men (and women) were made to find our identity in the One Mystical Christ, in Whom we all complete one another “unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the age of the fullness of Christ”...God is a consuming fire. He alone can refine us like gold, and separate us from the slag and dross of our selfish individualities to fuse us into this wholeness of perfect unity that will reflect His own Triune Life forever. When we all reach that perfection of love which is the contemplation of God in his glory, our inalienable personalities, while remaining eternally distinct, will nevertheless combine into One so that each one of us will find himself in all others, and God will be the Life and Reality of all.

I have been waiting for an opportunity like this for a long time. The moon was nearly new, the Milky Way was bright, and the sky was clear at Big Sur. This is a blended photograph with the sky exposed for about 20-25 seconds. The foreground was exposed for a little over 4.5 minutes. (Explored # 125) www.rossellet.com
Great Blue Heron stalking fish in shallow waters of a west central Texas lake. It took a lot of slow creeping to get close enough to render a decent image with 135mm lens. After a little wariness, this bird settled back into its fishing and ignored me.
I stopped at a pond just south of Hamilton to enjoy the Big Montana Sky on this beautiful, early winter afternoon.
