The best one so far! A big thank you to all staff and students for making our annual rewards day so special this year. The weather was fantastic and the students were a credit to the school: the theme park staff were very complimentary about the behaviour of our students. The day was an opportunity for staff to share in the fun and see the students away from the pressures of school. Having exclusivity in the park meant that there was little queuing and the students were able to get real value for money. Even with the huge numbers attending the trip, the day was still relaxing and enjoyable for all and this is a credit to their exemplary behaviour. Thank you to the students, staff and parents who have supported this visit and made it such a success.
25th Annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference: Journey To Innovation (July 25-28) at Indiana University
More than 2,500 people participated in the 16th Annual Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port, a run, walk and cycle fundraiser from Boston to Hyannis Port, on May 29-30. The Challenge raised more than $5 million in total donations for Best Buddies International a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Tom Brady, New England Patriots Quarterback and Best Buddies Global Ambassador, served as Honorary Co-Chair and led top fundraising Team Tom Brady to the finish line. Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri and Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy III joined Brady as the event’s Honorary Co-Chairs. John Hailer, President & CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management for the Americas & Asia, served as the Event Chair.
