Common Tern / sterna hirundo. Straws Bridge, Derbyshire. 16/05/20.

I was delighted to find the Common Terns (first seen yesterday), were still on site early this morning. They were favouring a different place along the edge of the lake and regularly used wooden posts to rest on. I photographed them from my car today because they were raised up from the ground … very obliging of them as, using a zoom lens this time, I was able to make some very different images. Can‘t believe how lucky I‘ve been with this pair of globetrotters! :-))

Believe it or not, these colors are exactly what presented to my naked eye! On a crystal clear day!

Yes, let it be a Tree-Mendous Tuesday for you and yours, and stay very safe, wherever you are....!

I believe this to be a sea sponge. I managed to find this on a clean beach with no foot prints or marks ,It was a bright sunny day day with the brightest light at the top of the image towards the low sun so I have a nice little shadow behind the sponge.

Believe in yourself

Generally believed to be named after Queen Victoria who took tea here in 1866, the viewpoint actually commemorates Queen Isabella, wife of Robert the Bruce who ruled Scotland between 1306 and 1329.

The stunning view across Loch Tummel to Schiehallion (1081 metres / 3547 feet) is one of the most famous in Scotland.

Global warming makes even a drop of water absolutely crucial in nature! - I spent half a day in the olive groves this morning. For some reason the Caucasian squirrel seems to have disappeared. I see them around but they didn't give me a chance to get close today. Let's say it's an unlucky day. Maybe I should have gone earlier. I think it is certain that they went to rest after breakfast.

I wanted to share the story of this photo with you - This rare fountain in the olive grove caught my eye and I realized that it was dripping drop by drop. This water source had already gathered hundreds of wasps and different birds around it.

I hid behind a centuries-old olive tree in my camouflage and waited. Great Tit came many times and drank that drop of water. I believe one of them was Juvenile. In recent years, we have been facing extreme hot weather problems and we do not know what to do.

The great tit flaps its wings hundreds of times per second, just to drink a drop of water. The energy he lost is incredible. It is impossible not to be worried about the future of mother earth and nature life.

The two frames I shot at high speed were under the shade of centuries-old olive trees and the sunlight was in the opposite direction. I hope you like it.

Panagia Trapeza. Conservation project of the church of Agia Trapeza in Acheritou village. Panagia Trapeza is a medieval church.

It is believed that the church of Panagia Trapeza was the main church of the medieval town, which gradually deserted, leaving the church as a single signal memory of history.

Life's all intricacies are unknowable. So is its meaning. It is even unknowable if it really has any meaning.

But the the beauty of life lies in the fact that you can believe in a meaning and travel the path.

Believe.

Can't believe I never posted this pic in color.

Long, long ago, I finished up a business trip a little early the last day, so my counterpart Quality Engineer, Marianne took me down to Ocean Drive in Miami, the art deco section.

This is what I had always imagined all of Miami to be like. Wrong, but I did have a great time capturing photons, like this young couple strolling along, hand in hand.

Shortly after this shot, it started raining, so Marianne and I dropped into an outdoor Cuban café with a large umbrella to sit under while watching the rain and sucking down my first mojito. Nectar of the gods.

I still need to get back there sometime for some night shooting.

I believe for every drop of rain that falls,

a flower grows...

I believe that somewhere in the darkest night,

a candle glows...

I believe for everyone who goes astray,

someone will come to show the way,

I believe, I believe...

I believe, above the storm, the smallest prayer,

will still be heard...

I believe that someone in the great somewhere,

hears every word...

Every time I hear a newborn baby cry,

or touch a leaf, or see the sky,

Then I know why, I believe!!!

Halloween season is upon us and all things supernatural creepy and spooky is on most of our minds.

So I was wondering do you believe in Ghosts??

Ok I know we are mostly a bunch of level headed people but even some the most scientifically minded of us humans have a belief in the supernatural.

So have you seen a ghost or experienced odd things happening? have the hairs on the back of your neck stood on end for no reason?

I suppose I have to respond as well.

I do think I have seen at least a shadow on our landing and things have moved without any of us moving them or so the family say.

this one will get you going. one night no so long ago when the girls were away for the weekend I was awoken by a tugging of the covers looking down expecting to see the dog I was little worried when she turned out to be asleep in the other room.

Ok yeah it could have been a vivid dream, the shadow could have just been a shadow and the objects not were we left them could just be us being forgetful .

What should I wear for so some Halloween photos

I do believe in magic, in things we can't explain.

I do believe in love, that it will not be in vain.

I do believe in you. Do you believe in me?

-

Eu acredito em mágica, em coisas que não podemos explicar.

Eu acredito no amor, que não será em vão.

Eu acredito em você. Você acredita em mim?

It's my life,

It's my choice,

Hear my words,

Hear my voice,

And just believe.

I sit alone and watch the clock,

Trying to collect my thoughts,

And all i think about is you.

A scattered line of covers of what is believed to be pupating whitefly: Aleurocanthus spiniferus (orange spiny whitefly) on a coconut palm leaf isolated by limited depth of field. Each tower of at least two discarded upper covers is under 1 mm in height. Eggs are scattered about on the leaf. Note the inverted image in the water droplet and the tenuous if-at-all attachment of the lower occupied covers (that are closed below) to the leaf.

I spend a lot of time trying to photograph things that are too small for me. More magnification would just lead to the same behavior at the next lower level. I will just have to put up with the challenge. The macro world is teeming with surprise. In this case it is the gay abandon of the one on the left, bouncing clear of the "water" that I really like.

It was a dry afternoon. More humid conditions would have condensed small drops of water close to the tip of each spine. As it is, only one larger accumulation remains. The larger the drop the slower the evaporation because the radius reduces by the same numerical amount per hour. Small drops disappear at a faster rate.
