Blimey, this was hard going!!! We bought a 'Beginner's Photoshop' magazine last weekend, and some of the projects are supposed to take half hour,while some are likely to take several hours!!
The inspiration behind this picture was on page 152 - I think you are supposed to start at the beginning and work up to projects like this! Anyway, I started off following instructions on 'blending mode portrait', and then got confused and went my own way! So, this is the result! Not quite as I intended, but I started on the right track!!

Sambo ("self-defense without weapons") - the national Russian struggle.
It is a complex self-defense system developed in the USSR. The official date of birth of Sambo is considered to be November 16, 1938, when this kind of sport was recognized in the USSR.
