Here I am standing outside the BCIT Broadcast Centre, SE10 at the Burnaby, BC campus. There are three programs that operate inside this building. The one I am enrolled in is Radio Arts and Entertainment. This building has become my second home since September 2015, and it will continue to be until I graduate in the spring of 2017. The faculty and students that I've met inside those doors have welcomed me with open arms. I love learning all of the skills I need for the workplace in such an accepting and safe environment. I will truly never forget the time spent inside this building.

In all of our classes we must effectively communicate with one another efficiently and effectively. I really like working with others and enjoy hearing different perspectives.

The BCIT Burnaby campus library is a great place to study. It's nice to take a break from quiet studying to be loud and laugh outside. Radio Arts and Entertainment students are notorious for being talkers. Here we are leaving the BCIT library, walking down the stairs and laughing. Leave it to the radio kids to turn any situation into a party. It's good to take a break from the seriousness of our strenuous program to laugh and smile. This is a photo of my online design group Ka'nika, Kate, myself, Evan, and Samantha.

What a nice day to sit at a picnic table on the patio and catch up on my emails. This photo was taken in the outdoor seating area of the Tim Horton's at the BCIT Burnaby campus. Technology has made it so easy to access our emails via mobile devices like smart phones, iphones, and tablets. Here I'm taking full advantage of this luxury by sitting and relaxing at an outdoor table. No matter where you are on campus there is free wifi for students on the BCIT Secure network, and free wifi for visitors on the BCIT network. Many of the Radio Arts and Entertainment instructors use email as their main form of communication with students.

This is the great hall where I like to eat lunch and hangout/socialize/study on the big comfy couches. It is such a great atmosphere with the soft music they play through the speakers and just the feel of having other people around is nice. The Great Hall is considered to be the cafeteria with many food options. Definitely a daily go to spot for me.

The library at BCIT is a great place to go and catch up on work and do some studying and reading. It has a very quiet atmosphere and lots of windows to keep the light shining through even when you are cramming for that extremely difficult final exam. Thankfully in Radio Arts and Entertainment we have a lot more projects then tests so I've used the library a lot more for a place to meet my groups and organize and work on our assignments together. Here Shaleena Jenna and I are just catching up on some casual reading!

This photo was taken of myself, Jenna and Shaleena in the campus store during one of our many adventures around the school. We found hats, sweaters, mugs, pens, calculators and so so so much more! It is stocked with a lot of BCIT swag and we though it would be fun to try some of it on... I unfortunately can not pull this hat off on the daily but it was worth a shot.

I find at least once a day I need to walk a little quicker to get to class thats located way on the other side of campus (or as we refer to it; Narnia). Shaleena, Jenna and I got caught in the act of this power walk when we were heading back to our Online Design class. I would like to give a shoutout to whoever built this walkway and applaud their genius idea of putting some sort of roof above it. BCIT -1, BC's rainy season -0.

Sometimes in the midst of everything going on at school, you just need a space that is quiet where you can develop creative ideas.

This is a daily occurrence for a Radio Student at BCIT. This photo takes place in a control room in the Radio building where I am working on one of my demos to add to my portfolio. I spend 70% of my life in this building, whether it's working on my demos, finishing up some work, or just hanging out with my friends. There's is never a dull moment when you've got a loud voice and microphone at your fingertips.
