Blow by blow

Honest in every way I know

You appear

To face a decision, I know you fear

And if I recover

Will you be my comfort?

Or it can be over

Or we can just leave it here

So pick any number

Choose any color

I've got the answer

A GMA Session ...

As a wee girl back in Scotland in 1971, I was given this Tranny (Transistor radio) that I still have, for my 7th Christmas-birthday. I used to carry it everywhere with me with the mono ear-plug permanently stuck in one of my ears, that hissed and crackled more than it played music. If I remember correctly, my favourite stations back then were probably Radio 1 with Tony Blackburn and then also Radio Luxembourg, which I remember listening to at night for some reason??

One of my favourite hit-songs at that time was by a Scottish band, Middle Of The Road, and the song was called "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep". www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSNSTerj2Kc

I remember watching this version on the Telly and all the kids on the school bus used to sing it with great gusto on the way to school. My mum still has a family tape recording of me even singing it for the family (microphone in hand like a pro so I am told) that Christmas...lol! Amazing memories.

According to Wikipedia - " "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" is a song recorded in early 1971 by its composer Lally Stott, and made popular later that year by Scottish band Middle of the Road for whom it was a UK number one chart hit. That version is one of the fewer than thirty all-time singles to have sold 10 million (or more) copies worldwide."

Not really what you would call intellectual words by any measure, but boy did I loooove this song :-D
