I rescued a baby bat that fell out of the roost and couldn't fly very well. He kept trying to climb up but was climbing the wrong place. He squeaked when he got back home and someone else flew out to check who was messing at their front door.
Addison Bates built this house in the early 1840's in rural Texas County, Missouri. It was supposed to have slave quarters, but they have disappeared. It was also known as a stagecoach stop. After the Civil War John Geers owned his and descendants until the 1970's. Its on the National Historic Register, but it looks too late for restoration. The stone work on the three chimneys is incredible. Eventually thats all that will be left standing. Thanks to Uncle Phooey for info and geotag!

The Bat Boat was customized by changing out most of the yellow for the dark bluish gray. It just didn't seem very inconspicuous for a nocturnal vigilante's aquatic vehicle with bright yellow stripes to alert the authorities when he's hiding out in open water.
The Batman on the left is my Armored Batman. I created this originally when we introduced Superman in Round 4, anticipating some kind of showdown scene. Armor is from Brickforge, gloves were painted black.
The Batman on the right features a modified mask. I spent some time using a file and sandpaper to shorten the ears and smooth the transition, inspired by Billbobful's The Dark Knight Returns Custom. After sanding it to a very smooth finish, I used some clear coat to give it the glossy shine.
The purpose of these updates was also to reveal my blog that I've started. I think it'll give a behind the scenes look into the game and a little bit about my life outside of GCW. The game doesn't seem complicated until you try and recreate it over and over again, trying to make each game better than the last.

A surprise to me today, 2nd June, 2025, at Cobham Services, a recent addition to the Scotland & Bates fleet. Up until 2020 the Kent operator had annual deliveries of new coaches but since then just two secondhand coaches have arrived, both being VDL SB4000 Beulas Cygnuses. MH69 FHK was previously Yelloway A17 YEL. Sad to see the end of the traditional style orange, brown and cream but I guess times change.
I was tracking down a squirell, when I looked down and noticed this little bat hanging amongst the berries....:)
And this is her Bat Lamborghini !!!
That's right, her entire outfit was bat and her very expensive Lambo had bats on the sides and on each wheel.

From my last trip to the zoo. I was testing the sensor of my new camera, with the assistance of this bat. I've never been able to get a clear shot with the older model, because the light in the enclosure is so low. Something tells me this new sensor is better!
