I basically went to town on this older shot. It was already immersed in some fog and I enhanced it with a touch of blur in photoshop. I love this blur effect.

Basically 3 shots of the same bee from slightly different directions,.

Basically 5 minutes to be honest... It's just taking longer right now... :-)

Basically this is a macro shot of a Coneflower (Echinacea / Sonnenhut) in our backyard. I love the structure of the blossom - it looks a bit like some kind of strange hedgehog. I processed the shot with NIK Colorefex to make it a bit more abstract.

It basically were the two of us out there, me searching for the perfect shot and him looking for precious metals and other lost stuff returned by sea and storm :)

Aspen trees looking up at a dark blue sky. Sunlight seen at top middle. This is basically how the raw file looks straight out of the camera. Early morning shot.

This photo was taken almost a year ago. I’ve only been up to the lake once this summer. I’ve basically spent the past five months within walking distance from my house. For the unforeseeable future, my husband will continue to work from home, and my daughter will not be returning to the classroom this fall.

Everything feels very uncertain. Things are always unpredictable though. We have this illusion of continuity, but nothing is guaranteed. I’ve been painfully aware of this for well over a decade now. That life can be (and is) very fragile. I don’t want to forget that things can change in a heartbeat. Living like this has made me more grateful somehow.

Blessings to you and your loved ones on this fine day in August. I’m wishing only the best for you all.

Basically a wall in a small village outside Faro. Photography students at art school were told to photograph a wall as an exercise - I've finally done it.

basically it is a "two-dimensional three-dimensionality" ... which would be nothing special, after all, are all photos "two-dimensional three-dimensionality", but in this style I'm all about minimalism and graphic patterns that reality has created and that we do not always perceive as such ...

the railing brings a denser pattern and to the right angle as to the circle additional diagonals and a slight colorfulness ... and is thus anything but a disturbing factor ...

Churning, bubbling, boiling and basically near explosion. It was trapped for so long within, unable to come out. Kept trapped in a prison of protection. Perhaps this was the only way to survive, to not reveal wounds that take lifetimes to heal.

This was his vow, to forever maintain control. No matter how much the dragon was begging him to release, to look up into the flaming sky and just...let go.

Because control equal strength. Opening up was a weakness. He had to maintain his strength to harness as much power. Yet, what he did not realize that with power comes a great sacrifice. To be invisible, to be alone and most of all, to be never understood.

Not everyone is patient in digging for the multiple keys to help him release his fire. Maybe one day he will realize the beauty in being free and facing any consequences as long as he is true to himself.

P.S. I am excited to see his version which he will share soon when he is done, it will be fantastic! Follow Raion Kento's Stream and look out for it ❤

Nearing their turning point of Moab UT, a pair of SD70M’s leads the once-weekly local along the icy Colorado River through Bootlegger Canyon.

Angram reservoir is basically fed by the River Nidd and Stone Beck. This is Stone Beck just below the weir and you can see that nature has quickly moved back in with the grass returning to the mud banks which are normally underwater. This is obviously to the delight of the sheep who graze on the rough fell sides.

Strangely they have been planting a few trees in the gully's that feed into Stone Beck to soak up moisture

(Beck is another name for a stream)

Angram Reservoir is the first of three reservoirs on the River Nidd in Upper Nidderdale, North Yorkshire, England, the others being Scar House Reservoir and finally the compensation reservoir Gouthwaite. Angram was built in 1918 by Bradford Corporation

I visited Skipton Castle in September and heard running water, through a window there, from the valley below. I thought this was strange as there is a canal below the castle. I decided to investigate the source of this water on leaving the castle. I headed along the canal to find a river running parallel with the canal and into the river flowed this waterfall. It didn't look much at first but I thought it would make a good long exposure shot. I didn't have any ND filters with me at the time or a tripod. I had to set the aperture to f22 to restrict the light coming into the camera and slow the shutter speed, Then basically placed the camera on the path floor and set a two second timer. I was more than pleased with the finished result.

Basically the Tom Ford and Gigi Hadid of the dog world.

This is INSANITY.

Basically called it this because the lightning strikes I think look insane!

I didn't plan this shot/shots of lightning. I was looking out the window at home to see if there was going to be a good looking sunset, but it was getting really dense, dark clouds rolling in so I thought id give it a miss. but then I went out to the car a hour later and there was a massive crack right above my head. That was pretty much it. when I see lightning I'm out. I ran and grabbed my gear and was on the road. I made a call not to go beachside this time because I was following the directions of the strikes and they were heading south easterly inland. I pulled up near the freeway to an overpass and decided to get a 2 in 1 shot of some light trails and lightning. It was the best i could do with the timing and situation i was in. This image is a 4 image stack. I will be uploading some of the single image strikes over the next few days when I get around to it. I was considering uploading this one last, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. hope enjoy your viewing as much as I enjoyed taking the shot :)

Feel free to tell me what you think.

I was walking down the shoreline at Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg, Florida. I saw the reddish egret across the way and debated whether I wanted to walk out in the water to get closer. I saw some other people in the water and it was deeper than I wanted to go. During this time of thought, however, the egret decided to move on and basically flew right at me. So all I had to do was point the camera and shoot!

After basically 100% cloud on the 100% supermoon, I managed to get this one on the day after showing 99%. This is looking across Botany Bay to the shipping container wharves which is also in the flight path for Sydney Airport. A 2 shot simple HDR in Lightroom.... and yes the plane was in the shot :-) The HDR is just to get the moon's landscape (moonscape?) visible.

No matter how large or how small a given space may be there’s always room for colors to share that space. A tree has so much space to share with lots of vivid colors. Look at the colors or shades that Autumn provides us at its peak. A Maple tree is a good example. On a smaller scale look at the most colorful fish in an aquarium. One fish can house several colors within its body. Though many flowers appear to represent basically one color such as a Red Rose, a Yellow Rose etc., this rose caught my attention in that there are no less than two beautiful “Colors Sharing Space” Nature continues to amaze and impress us with miracles (plants, animals and people) that come in many colors yet sharing small spaces. Thanks for viewing my work.

Yep it's that time again... Even though most of us are not involved in the actual farming but we enjoy the hard work of the folks that make it happen for us. God bless the people behind this hard work :) Our church annually celebrates harvest and this Sunday we will be doing that by thanking God for all these wonderful gifts. This shot is basically unaltered just the way it came out of the camera except some light Orton effect and reverse vignette

I am shocked with success of this shot my friends!!! Thank you so much for you support ... invites and over 100 favorites in one day! You guys officially made this shot my second most popular and all in one day ... WOW I am very moved by this. I just made a few adjustments and I believe it made it look even better :)

Another Bacon Roll ( good ones and all ) and another visit to Earlswood Lakes and the Lakes Cafe . The weather was rubbish so no walk around the water this week other than a quick jump out of the car when there was a brief lull in the precipitation . Only a couple of mediocre swan shots and duck shots and this one of the sign with a gull posing for anyone with a camera .

With the white sign I just thought what a lot of words just to say " No Fishing In The Dark " !!

Basically, I just tried to bring out the colors a bit.

Taken with my Diaplan, I didn’t know it could also function as a normal lens. No soapbell in sight, just a very basic mushroom, or as we like to call them, the stool of a toad.

That basically sums it up ! A small Monkey Puzzle tree with an old VW Beetle - not sure at all as to what year . I did notice he tail of another old Beetle poking out from underneath a tarpaulin at the far end of the drive .

basically right out of the camera - 20 seconds - F/10 manual mode. It was amazing to see how the green glow came from the giant baseball field lights pouring down into the fog...

Alright, alright, alright! So I'm basically right there at the viewpoint for the Grey Glacier. Epic doesn't even begin to describe it. This ginormous wall of ice is like, whoa, dudes and dudettes, reminding you of Patagonia's whole icy backstory. SECOND LARGEST GLACIER on the entire planet, people!

The view? Forget about it. Panoramic perfection of the glacier, the lake, the mountains – the whole shebang. This is the kind of scenery that gets burned into your brain forever. Like a real-life Patagonia postcard, but way more awesome.

Speaking of the lake (Grey Lake, FYI), that thing is crazy deep – over 500 meters (that's like 1,640 feet, for all you non-metric folks). Plus, it's fed straight from the glacier, so the water's this cool, milky gray. Perfect for kayaking or canoeing, if you're feeling adventurous (which I wasn't, after that first super-steep descent through a stream. Let's just say my ankles are still recovering).

But hey, a little wetness is a small price to pay for witnessing this icy giant, right? The Grey Glacier's a part of this massive ice field, the Southern Patagonia Ice Field, the second biggest in the whole world. Super important for the environment and all that jazz. Plus, it's just plain beautiful and exciting. So yeah, definitely worth the trip if you're ever down in Patagonia.

(Side note: Super bummed to see how much the glacier's receded lately. Climate change is a real bummer, man.)

(On a brighter note, guess where I'm headed after the W Trail? Yep, the famous Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina! Same ice field, different adventure!)

***

It's definitely worth zooming in on the map and zooming out several times to get a sense of the scale of the ice field. You'll see that what I'm showing you is just a small tip of the iceberg.

basically straight out of camera.

I did not add the sparkles on the right photo.

those, I think, are small spirits of life.

Basically the same image posted weeks ago but painted AND with one change that you will need to look carefully for. You'll never find it.

These steps were inundated with tourists just hours before and will be so again as soon as the sun comes up.

I love this time of the morning. The light is pleasing and there are no crowds, allowing me to work at my own pace and where I want. Sometimes I look for people to include in my photographs but usually at night when again the light is good. But the morning is my favorite time. I own the morning. I'll sleep when I get old.

Basically, a Ford Galaxie with a giant nose.

I worked on this for like 6 hours on sunday....
