Seeing a barracuda while snorkeling is an interesting experience; their teeth are incredibly sharp and can easily tear human flesh into shreds. There were a pair of Great Barracudas here, but thankfully, they were juveniles only about a foot and a half long; full size adults are usually around three feet. Although they have been known to attack humans, it is often bright, shiny objects such as a diving watch or jewelry that might be confused for prey that causes the attack.
