A family first backpacking trip! We started with the Norse Peak trail and added Crown Point and some of the Pacific Crest Trail for a 20 mile, 3k elevation gain weekend!
This is right after getting over Assgard Pass. We found a nice flat-spot near the lake and set up camp.
RIP in some Madrid dumpster, Penfold the Fourth. You were a good travelling companion and I miss your weight on my back.
On previous backpacking trips, Brian and I hadn't worried about weight or volume. This time, though, we broke the dehydrator (affectionately known as the Snackmaster 5000) and were very impressed. We even had extra space in our bear barrels!
Read more about this picture at Nilesh's Posterous I chanched a look at myself in an elevator mirror this past week and this is how I have been travelling for these past few months.. one big 75L backpack on my back and another smaller backpack with my documents and laptop etc.. in front (I guess that's not a "back"pack anymore.. more of a belly pack ...
