At the beginning of 2008 I was touching 14 stone. I managed to get down to 12st 6lb in October after a healthy holiday of walking and manual labour on a dig. I was only 12st 9lb just before the Christmas break ... the picture tells it all I think :-(

Twee mega-swingende bands die beiden een link hebben met de stad New Orleans: Youngblood Brass Band neemt traditionele New Orleans brassmuziek als uitgangspunt, maar gooit daar een extra laag aan grooves bovenop en zo creëren ze een mix van hiphop, drum&b(r)ass en latin. Dustbowl Revival, een groep jonge muzikanten uit Californië, switcht moeiteloos tussen genres als New Orleans funk, bluegrass, soul, vooroorlogse blues en roots. Dit oppeppende dubbelconcert midden in de herfstvakantie verloste iedereen meteen van een herfstdip. Fotograaf: Theo Solberg.
