Taken on the superb Yellow Waters boat trip from Cooinda Lodge in Kakadu NP, Australia

Azure Kingfisher with a freshly caught fish that looks too big to eat! A particularly fine specciment of a bird with what looks like freshly minted nice new blue plumage.

A nearly threatned species, mainly due to loss of habitat. Wild - at Sítio Espinheiro Negro.

Happy Blue Monday!

L’Argus bleu, Azuré commun, Azuré de la Bugrane ou Petit Bleu commun (Polyommatus icarus) Mâle.

This tiny, light blue butterfly is one of the smallest butterflies in the USA with wingspans of 0.91 to 1.14" (23 to 29 mm). This was the only time I've been able to capture this type of butterfly as they are very fidgety. Best viewed large.

Many thanks for your visits, faves and comments. Have a great week!!

8. March 2017 this is a sad day for Malta. Malta's famous Azure Window arch has collapsed into the sea after heavy storms.
