A view of the Samahni valley in the Bhimber district of Azad Kashmir or POK. The valley is situated bang on the line of control that seperates the POK (Azad Kashmir) from IHK (Indian held Kashmir)
A small rivulet and fishing boats on the dried bed of the Mangla Lake. This happens in early summers but from peak summers onwards this is area is a part of a 100 square mile lake.
Toli Peer is a high mountainous pasture near Khai galla, Azad Kashmir. A black top road connects this place from summit to Khai gala bazaar. Public transport is available from Khai gala Bazaar. This is no doubt a scenic place and can be visited easily with family and friends.
Jhugies the local word for shanties in and arround Mirpur. The contrast is apparent if you notice the villas in the background. Lots of people live this way under the poverty line.
He was also in the collapsed house - under the debris, and was resuced 3 hours later.
The background picture is exactly one month prior to this incidence. The otherone shows the wounds on his forehead, cheek, and face, caused due to the earthquake.
