The foundation stones for the , ‘beautification and upgradation of Azad Maidan Square’ were laid at the hands of ShriManohar Parrikar, Hon’ble Union Minister for Defence – Government of India, and in the distinguished presence of Shri Laxmikant Parsekar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chairman – GSIDC & MLA – Sankhali constituency, Shri Sidharth Kuncalienker, Hon’ble MLA – Panaji constituency & Vice Chairman – GSIDC, Shri Surendra Furtado Mayor, Corporation of City of Panaji as well as corporator Vaidahi Naik etc on 11.10.16 un AMRUT Mission (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)
