A spectacular design does not help to sell, obviously.
Today it is a very rare sight.
Love it or hate it...
Seen at Maastricht this spring.
"New Edge design"? Forget Ford - look at this 40 year old Cadillac Eldorado.
Seen at Techno Classica 2009.
A 1953 Opel Olympia Rekord in mythic light on a legendary car cemetary.
EDIT 2012: now that it is completly cleared of all wrecks, I´ve decided to name the car cemetary: Chatillon in Belgium. Thank you all idiots that came there and destroyed everything....
Found near the border from Belgium to Luxemburg in 2008.
Will it still be there or will it be removed like the famous swiss Kaufdorf scrapyard?
EDIT 2012: now that it is completly cleared of all wrecks, I´ve decided to name the car cemetary: Chatillon in Belgium. Thank you all idiots that came there and destroyed everything....
Shot during a magnificent tour along the austrian "Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße" on the way back from the "Edelweißspitze":

Some days later the cooler exploded at italian Lago di Garda - the Saab made it back to Germany anyway... : )
EDIT: R.I.P.
My good old Saab is dead.
It ´s crankshaft bearings exploded and the engine blew up.
Hopefully some of its pieces will make other old 900s go running and running...
I´ve seen this fine old hot Opel in the Netherlands yesterday.
Its black matte primer surface and the slight lowrider-look, the steel rims - all in all a really well done oldschool euro-rat!
And the evening sun did the rest to make me create this photography...
EDIT 8/2009: As I had the opportunity to meet the owner of this car himself I can now tell you some more details.
It sounds like a fairytale but this car has definitly a very interesting history.
As the current owner told me, the first buyer lived in the arabian emirates. After some weeks the Maserati had a breakdown and the owner just left the car in the desert. There it has stayed for years and after a short time it was covered by a sand dune completely.
Then in the early 80s a german tourist dicovered one car front fender in a dune, began to dig and rescued the car.
As the car still had the original licence plates fixed, he started to search for the owner. He managed to indentfy him and visited him. The owner has almost forgotten the car and sold the remnants to the german tourist.
As several sand storms went over the car before it was hidden totally, the whole paint has gone and it was much work to bring it to the road again.
This was around 1981/82 and the new owner decided to change the front end in the style of the Kyalami and Quattroportes of that time.
The owner told me that even Maserati was interested in this new design.
But Bertone held the rights for the original design and denied the new front end for the current Maserati production.
As it wasn´t the best time in the Maserati era, the Khamsin production was stopped completely in 1982.
Simple as that - this was the story of this remarkable Khamsin with a new front end design...

Well, not too much to say about this. Great light, great cars - one shot - one picture.
Seen at Düsseldorf Meilenwerk.

Shot during "2010 Meilenwerk Düsseldorf Flickr Meet" today.
It was quite a dark day and it began to snow, but I was able to shoot some nice outdoor pictures outside, though.
Seen in the low and late autumn-lighting somewhere in the Eifel-mountain-ridge.
I´m not sure if it´s been an original Lotus 7 or a later Caterham or Westfield as many owners try to make it look very "original".
It´s a nice sight anyway!
Mechanically simple and with an electronic limited to the essential a uas (УАЗ) is supposed to be a reliable vehicle..or at least a easy one to repair.. Their powerful permanent active heating system makes them ideal for the rigid mongolic/siberian winters.. in summer you can enjoy a sauna for free.
One of the few surviving legendary Goggomobil Limousines. The only real car of all the strange microcars of that era...
This one rests on the roof of a car service shop in belgium.
One of my experiments:
how to make a tiny model car look as it was the real thing.
This is presented before the classical front of Aachen´s casino
German police Beetle from the early 60´s, slightly altered into a lowrider hot rod project.
Seen at Spa Francorchamps "Bug Stuff 2011".
Those get very rare in Germany. Here´s a fine french example.
Seen at Techno Classica 2009, the Vintage Car World Fair.
Some years ago I´ve made this shot of a gorgeous little Renault Alpine A110 1600. The light was quite extreme so I´ve worked on the contrast a bit to let this wonderful sculpture emerge...
One fine example of a late 1980´s 911 (G-model) Porsche, seen at an Eschweiler Porsche meeting some years ago.
Aren´t those graphic lines still inspiring?
Just like a face with two red eyes and a tarmac mouth...
Still I just have to picture those Volkswagen Beetles Bugs Käfer Vocho Maggiolino Cox Bublan etc. whenever I see one.
And believe me - I´ve shot them many times before, too.
One very happy man in Germany drives this Porsche 906-6 (?) racer legally with a normal licence on german streets.
Almost unbelievable if you imagine the authoritarian and strict TÜV-regulations here. He seems to have the right friends at the right places.
