She had always avoided mirrors. There was something about her reflection that didn’t feel right, as if the person staring back wasn’t truly her. But tonight, she couldn’t resist. She stood before the glass, studying the woman she barely recognized.
Her short, pink-purple hair framed a face she knew but didn’t fully understand. Then, something shifted. The eyes in the mirror locked onto hers—not following her movements, but staring at her as if they had a mind of their own.
“Do you even know who you are?” a voice whispered, soft yet cutting, as if it came from the glass itself. She blinked, her breath hitching, but the reflection didn’t blink back. Instead, it leaned closer, its lips curling into a faint, knowing smile.
Her heart pounded. Was this her? Or someone she had yet to meet?
The figure in the mirror tilted its head, gazing at her with a strange mix of pity and amusement. “Look closer,” it said. “Maybe I’m not the echo… maybe you are.”
I avoided any curves when building the Federations latest interceptor to give it a sharp edged, aggressive feel.

The cathedral stands conspicuously on top of the Toompea hill, the highest point in Tallinn. It was completed in 1900 and has been since the main Orthodox church in Estonia. It barely avoided demolition in 1920's due to the anti-Russian sentiment, and was one of the few churches that remained active during the Soviet era.

From the recent archive. One of the few remaining red class members, Freightliner's 59205 is seen on the straight approach to Fairwood Junction and about to take the Westbury avoider whilst in charge of 7A74, the 12.03 loaded stone from Merehead Quarry to Theale Foster Yeoman.

Great city. Always it is worth a visit. No argue why this is a world heritage. Completely deserves it

Distributed throughout England, Wales, Ireland and south-east Scotland, Moorhens avoid high ground. British and Irish Moorhens are sedentary, occupying their lowland habitats year-round. In winter the population is swelled by birds migrating here from the Continent. (BTO).

Desmognathus imitator from Sevier County, Tennessee. At first glance, this image looks quite similar to the Plethodon jordani I posted yesterday. Not only for the setting, but for the general appearance of the subject. P. jordani is generally unpalatable to predators. D. imitator, on the other hand is nontoxic and could be on the menu. As its name implies, D. imitator is a mimic of P. jordani, and therefor may benefit from this latter's foul taste and be avoided by predators.

El valle de Bujaruelo es un valle del Pirineo aragonés, en la provincia de Huesca (España) lindante con el Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido, justo al noroeste del valle de Ordesa, y donde nace el río Ara, del que forma parte como zona periférica de protección. A pesar de su extraordinario valor natural y de los varios intentos llevados a cabo, intereses urbanísticos, turísticos y ganaderos han evitado su incorporación al mencionado Parque aún a pesar de ser limítrofe con él. Sin embargo sí que forma parte del lugar de importancia comunitaria Bujaruelo - Garganta de Los Navarros.
The Bujaruelo Valley is a valley in the Aragonese Pyrenees, in the province of Huesca (Spain) bordering the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, just to the northwest of the Ordesa Valley, and where the Ara river is born, of which it forms part as peripheral protection zone. Despite its extraordinary natural value and the various attempts carried out, urban, tourist and livestock interests have avoided its incorporation into the aforementioned Park even despite being bordering it. However, it is part of the place of community importance Bujaruelo - Garganta de Los Navarros.

Toy Project Day 1852
Having avoided the ice cave trips for the past seven years - due to price and crowds - I decided to visit one on this trip, since there were very few other tourists around (and the ISK currency was a bit weaker). I was in a small group - guide, Icelandic couple from Reykjavík and Belgian woman working in Höfn. We walked across the top of the glacier with crampons first, before descending to the edge and entering this cave. There were a couple of other groups there too, which at least gave some scale, although I would've preferred one person, not moving around, for that! The guide told me that on a busy winter's day they can have 35-40 groups there (wow!) - so a few hundred people, queueing up to get in the caves...
This ice cave is found under the Breiðmerkurjökull glacier that feeds the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon with large icebergs, which then get smashed up in the tides and wash up on my favourite beach.
Browsing through my archives, I thought this shot deserved some work. As you can see I could not avoid some droplets to reach the lens, but I guess it adds to the magic. Hope you will like it...
Today I ventured out onto the coast path, a test walk with my now semi repaired toe :-) The weather was a little wet and drizzle but very little wind so the sea was nice and flat. The path from Lligwy to Moelfre gives a pleasant view of the Moelfre headland. Careful camera position can avoid the static caravans interrupting the view.

Funny story: I was trying to avoid my neighbors and my mom from seeing me with paint all over my face- it didn't work :)

I'll try something new out and try more creative shots :)
So just a little sidenote: watercolor is NOT easy to get off your face (I'm actually still trying to get it all off- and I have youth group tonight. Dang.) but it's ideal if you want a runny paint look :D
Everything is desaturated except the watercolor.....
this looked so much better than selective color (trust me, I tried that :D)
Tomorrow's 365 is going to be difficult because my cousin is getting married!
so I'm gonna attempt to wake up around 4:45 or 5 (ugghh) and shoot outside...if not I'll just post one from the wedding or something :) ahhh I'm so excited, I get to shoot her portraits with a couple other people!! its gonna be funnnnn :D
