We have just a few hours daylight now and even that is often just twilight.

Autumn colours at Geddes trout loch. The fishery is located at the Geddes Dams which was built in 1870 as the main water supply for the town of Nairn. It lies in quiet secluded woodland surroundings and comprises of three separate lochs. A few minutes after I took this shot the heavens opened and I had to run for cover...see the approaching storm clouds on horizon.

Magical autumn in HSH Mariland by Andie Rau

Summer has quietly said goodbye to Mariland, leaving the island wrapped in the golden magic of autumn. 🍂✨

The forests are glowing in shades of amber, copper and gold, the paths are covered with fallen leaves, and the gentle sound of the stream follows every step of the way. It is the perfect season for slow walks beneath the trees, peaceful rides through the countryside, and discovering little corners of Mariland that seem to belong to a fairy tale.
