How beautiful the leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.

The Wild Cardinal's Cap can be recognized in autumn by the fruits, which resemble the headgear that cardinals from the Roman Catholic Church used to and perhaps still wear, a kind of square pink box. When this box of the cardinal's cap pops open, a beautiful orange fruit emerges. The fruits are poisonous and were used to combat head lice in the past.
The flower of the month of November is the Chrysanthemum, a beautiful flower that symbolizes, among other things, a long life.
Its origin dates back to around 1500 BC in China, where it was considered a flower of hope and wisdom.
And I stick with this description, because in Europe it is also used for the Day of Saints, a curious duality.
Due to its color and as other plants can have different meanings, I prefer the positive ones.
Yellow symbolizes friendship, red a simple way of saying "I love you", in this case what better union and joy.

From my walk in the unusual warm and sunny November weather.Another one from the same walk in first comment box. Back to grey skies today.
Some days I am the flower. Some days I am the rain.
A walk in the park on a rainy day with a lot of drizzle.
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! My apologies if I cannot reply to all comments. Have a great day!
Just a week or so ago I ventured into the woods in search of werewolves. I did not find any. But the orange was abundant and the smell of danger was ever present.
Smile on Saturday
To make a change from seascapes thought I would upload an autumn shot and was delighted to find this as a theme for the Smile on Saturday group!
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
Smile on Saturday.
Autumn joy.
Thank you for taking the time to view my images - I really appreciate it. I will try to visit your sites in due course. Flickr has so many wonderful photos that inspire me to experiment and try harder with my own photography.
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily. The theme at Smile on Saturday is autumn joy. And since we all know, by now, how addicted I can be to one particular prop, I decided to go along with my obsessions and take a picture of my two favorite things (at least for now…): leaves and an egg.
So my autumn joy is eating eggs and watching leaves fall…After all, joy is often in small things of life.
So have a great day my friends ! And since it is very warm and beautiful in Montreal right now, I will rack some leaves, just after eating my eggs. See you later !
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr !!
Smile on Saturday - Autumn Joy. I love the muted colours of autumn. Other than a little crop this was just about SOOC.
Many thanks for all of your comments.
To breathe... listen to the songs of the flowing water... feel the wind and the sun on your face.... watch the leaves transform into butterflies that dream of touching clouds...
Take a moment to feel autumn.
Autumn in The New Forest means pannage! The pigs are released onto the forest to eat fallen acorns, beechmast, chestnuts and other nuts; green acorns in particular are poisonous to the New Forest ponies and cattle which roam the forest the majority of the year.. It will always make me smile seeing the pigs and piglets running around freely.
