~

It seemed far too long since I've posted any images, so I decided to get back to what I like to do.

Back in late September of 2012, we found this small waterfall and pool at the base of Long Falls, Maine... I think. Could be somewhere else completely. But, yes, Maine... definitely. I think.

I set up on the slippery rocks with a wide angle lens, and took bracketed exposures. This image, however, is from a single, ridiculously long exposure. Sometimes simpler is better.

*just for the record, this is not selective color. it just looked that way!

My little contribution to all those colors....

Scheveningen, The Hague, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands.

These cottages look as though they've got a nice warm green hat on! They're near the cathedral in England's smallest city, Ely.

Another lakeside view from Stourhead.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and helped get this to explore!

To the lovers of the world and those who have love in their hearts!

With autumn close at hand, only a few scattered patches of fireweed remain on the shores of Kluane Lake now. The photo was taken near the mouth of Congdon Creek in the late evening. The Ruby Range on the east side of this large lake can be seen in the background. They say summer is over in the Yukon when the fireweed turns to seed. Morning frost can be expected at any time now.

Technical: Single long exposure using a 6-stop neutral density filter.

On Romney Marshes, the drainage ditches are called "sewers". This one is called Five Waterings, and is just down the road from the farm we stay at (Puddock Farm). I love this line of trees - so distinctive.
