Most auto transport carriers will allow a vehicle to have anywhere from 100 to 150 lbs of personal items in the vehicle as long as the items are concealed and secured. These items would not be insured under the cargo protection policy due to lack of proper inventory. The decision whether the items would be allowed must be made by the driver as the driver would be the person transporting these items on U.S. highways.
