The cylinder heads can be removed without removing the engine from the car. It's tricky though, and the exhaust pipe connected to each cylinder head can be a real pain to deal with. I eventually removed the whole exhaust pipe from the center bracket under the car and lower it a bit out of the way while keeping it in place with bungie cords so that I wouldn't have to remove the whole exhaust pipe system.

The popular auto body shop at 146 W. Erie St. moved out of its home since 1934 in November 2016 to make way for The Bentham, a new condominium project with units starting at $1.3 million. The building was constructed in 1924. Erie – LaSalle has two locations: 1005 W. Huron St. and 2440 S. Kedzie Ave. I assume its famous neon sign will be reinstalled on Huron if it hasn’t been already.
The auto repair shop on the corner of Great Jones St & the Bowery features swirling street art by the French artist WK Interact on the gates.

Here's what this happy customer had to say after technician Chris K completed bumper repairs to his Lexus in Bellevue WA.
"My experience with Chris Kirk and his Same-Day staff was top notch from start to finish. Chris accommodated me in every sense of the word -- he arranged a convenient time and place to perform the work, did an A+ job on the repair, and has done an exceptional job servicing my needs. I would recommend Chris and his team whenever given the opportunity.
Thanks again, Chris,"

Motorhead repairs British Sportscars. "When it's broken and British..."
They are still around, but near the Dunn Loring metro instead of near Ballston or Clarendon: www.motorheadltd.com/
BTW, motorhead is British for what Americans call the engine block.

The larger intake valves are all bent from the timing belt coming loose while the engine was running. The smaller exhaust valves do not appear to bent (I'll make sure when I remove the valves) and there was no indication on the piston heads that they collided. The EGR pipe that had to be cut from the intake manifold can be see still connected on the left side of the picture.
So the Honda Element was overheating, and I was like shit, now what? So I called around, one Dealership said between $1,000 and $3,000 because they could not tell until they got in there, and then the other said with all the parts and labor it would be $1,823 and they would throw in a free oil change, and I was like that sounds like a hell of a deal! So I scratched my head and figured if those boobs working in the garage at Honda can do it in 6 hours, I bet I can do it myself. So over to O'Rileys I went, picked up the part for $74 and off I went, within the first twenty minutes of cussing at Hotel Element struggling to get the fan piece out, I knew why they charge $200 to take this shit apart, but I figured once again if those boobs at the Honda Stealership can do it, so can I, so 2.5 hours, it was out, disassembled and put back together and is up and running again! Once again, I saved $1,749 by doing it myself!
