my brain went on autopilot last night while at this shoot, and that was not a good thing. I was having so much trouble getting the two boys on the outer edges to relax and not give me 'canned ' faces, that I totally neglected to notice the glaring sunlight on mom and dad's faces. This is one of those shoots that I want to scream "do over!!" I got lots of good individual shots of the kids, which was what they really wanted, but my family images were just pretty awful. I just hate it when I make such glaring technical mistakes! OK...add to that that my white balance is pretty wigged out too......back to the drawing board!

I think the individuals will save me.... I was really pleased with them.

It taught me - by necessity - to steer the boat through sail balance alone before I could say: "OK, George. Your boat."
