Subject: AMG E55 M113 5.5L V8 Supercharged, Twin-Intercooled Engine. A very rare beast with 500 bhp and over 700 Nm's of torque. This will eat a Ferrari on the highway and comfortably drive back to work!
Strobist: Flashgun at 1/2 power on camera left triggered via cable. Gobo'ed by voice activated assistant's hand to prevent light spillage on the rest of the engine compartment. *hehe* Lightly processed in CS2.

Saturday we took our students on a field trip to Sentul City to visit a drug rehab center called Yayasan Breakthrough Missions Indonesia or YBMI. I think it was a great exposure for our students to hear from patients that have been helped by YBMI; and to see the effects of drug addiction.

Subject: An abandoned bird's nest that once held life. I couldn't resist setting up this shot as it's a tribute to God's beautiful creation. It's just utterly amazing how with a pair of beaks a little bird can weave and put together this nest for it's offspring.
Strobist: Light painted with an LED flashlight and exposed for 6 seconds. Camera mounted on a 190PROB and subject placed on a dark backing board. Minor processing in CS2. All this with my left leg in a cast! Hooha! :-D

Who wouldn’t love cars? All of us love the best looking car and you are the proudest human being if you have a new car. We do our best to protect our cars from dents, scratches, dusts and all kinds of harm that the car might encounter. We keep an eye on every detail, always ensuring that they are always shining and clean but then, since cars are exposed to the harmful effects of nature and other factors that may harm the cars, they also get abused in time. However, with car detailing you can have you car in new condition again.
Car detailing is the process of careful and detailed cleaning, waxing and polishing of the interior and exterior of cars in order to produce a highly improved appearance and looking good as new. Detailing is usually done to satisfy a person’s self-esteem and for the car enthusiasts who want to prepare the vehicle for car shows whose appearance is important.
Detailing of the car involves the detailing of the exterior, interior and the engine. Exterior detailing involves reviving and giving new shine to the paint of the car, windows, chrome trim, tires and wheels. The process will entails cleaning, protecting and polishing of the car. Cleaning is the removal of all the dirt and foreign particles that are found on the surface of the car by means of claying and washing of the car’s exterior. Polishing includes utilizing of mechanical polishes which can remove the swirls and fine scratches from the surface of the paint. Protection simply means treating the car’s surface with protective wax.
Interior detailing requires extensive cleaning of the dashboard, seats, panels and windows. Steam cleaning and vacuuming with the use of tools such as brushes and liquid cleaners are used to get rid of the stains on the upholstery and some may need polishing as well. Seats are removed to give way to thorough cleaning of the car’s interior.
Engine detailing on the other hand uses high water pressure and high steam with heavy duty all purpose cleaners and degreasers which are essential tools in cleaning the car’s engine.
Car detailing does not involve mechanical repair, repainting, upholstery and body works. Cars owners should have a habit of detailing their cars to retain a good resale value. Doing this on a regular basis will surely lengthen the life of your car.
Car Detailing Tips
Cars when properly maintained have the ability to last for a long time. This is with regular mechanical and cosmetic maintenance. There are lots of issues regarding car detailing but it could be that doing nothing for the benefit of your car is much worse.
o Wash the car regularly. Once a week is advised for all kinds of dirt is the paint’s worst enemy.
o Always give your car proper car paint. It does not only enhance the look of your car but it serves as a protection of the metal body panels from corrosion and rust.
o Car wax give life to the car paint while at the same time covers the damages and flaws in the surface of the car. It also give the surface of the car a smooth and shiny finish.
o Do not use a hose in rinsing the car nor let the water droplets dry on its own for it will leave water spots which can be permanent.
o Use 100% cloth car wash when washing. Automated washing brushes that are made up of 100% hand car washes can still damage the car pain.
o Clear coat is very similar to the nail polish or varnish that is used as finishing. This will give the top layer of the paint a shiny finish. This is often confused as clear coat wax or polish.
o Carpet steam cleaning is not recommended in car detailing of interior. The floor mats will take a new weathered look after steam cleaning and at the same time it takes long to dry.
When it comes to waxing in car detailing, paste wax is highly recommended for it can hide the flaws of the car better than the wax spray or the liquid form. Synthetic chamois is much preferred by car detailers and the California dusters in getting rid of dust is a better choice. There are car washing detergent in the market but the preference of the many is using liquid dish washing detergents. It is a common notion that the more water and soap suds the cleaner the car will be when actually the implication is different. It means lots of work. Imagine removing all the soap suds, naturally, it will mean more water to consume. Dressings may not be a good option for your car interior for it only creates thick and sticky layer of dust.
