The team at our North Dixie location, Stereo-In-Dash, gets the credit for this awesome custom audio installation. They decked out this Pontiac Solstice GXP with a suite of incredible-sounding JL Audio components, including JL's C5 3-way component system and 8-inch subwoofer, all powered by a set of high-output XD amplifiers. It looks great and sounds even better. Nice job, Guys!

Recording audio is probably one of, if not the most, important parts when it comes to the radio. Practice makes perfect, you have to know how you sound, before the world can know how you sound.

This project was meant to explore the usage of metadata and Search Engine Optimization (SEO.)

Aspiring and independent artists, musicians, composers record material at home. They connect guitars and microphones to audio interfaces and then convert their music into a digital signal. Sound and recording engineers do the same in professional studios. Recorded audio tracks are never perfect. The stage of recording must be followed by the stage of editing. And for these purposes, audio editors are used.

This specialized software is also used by arrangers, producers and beatmakers. Video bloggers and podcast creators also need to process their material. They add background music, cut out long pauses in speech, remove noise and etc. Anyone who wants to edit, for example, a video birthday greeting, should also use one of the video or audio editors.

All these programs differ in interfaces, workspace organization, level of convenience and functionality. Some are only suitable for audio editing, others are powerful platforms with huge toolboxes. A standard DAW (digital audio workstation) is not only a sound editor, but also a mixer with a processing package, as well as a tool for recording, arranging and producing. What does a typical editing software do?

- Cut and glue. Audio blocks (clips, items) are usually sliced to align them with the beat. The reverse process is gluing;

- Equalize the volume. To "help" the compressor, sound engineers pre-compress the peaks manually using the audio editor;

- Remove silence and unnecessary sounds.
