Looking up at the lobby's atrium. If you ever get a chance to go there (because it's hidden away and a bit pricey), if you like crab, I implore you, get the Enchiladas Suizas de Jaiba. They are literally To Die For. Oooohh, so good. And a warning. If you get Queso, it's not the dipping type, it's the one that you have to scoop out of a bowl and put into a tortilla. But it's great.

I've shot this staircase before, from another angle. The windows always make the light interesting and is constantly changing based on the time of day, time of year and even the weather outside.
A view of the COCA atrium, from the bottom of the staircase, by the front desk. On the right, you can see the wall of windows, which let in a ton of natural light, which presented a challenge in developing a lighting system for the sculpture that wouldn't be overwhelmed during the daytime.

The captain has just informed us that our engine problems have caused our
speed to drop to a bit over half what it should be, which means we have to
cancel some ports.
Rather than stopping at Wellington and Napier, he has decided to sail
straight to Auckland so that we get there on time.
The cruise duration will be the same - we'll arrive in Auckland on
Saturday. We just won't stop anywhere on the way.
