Llyn Dinas is a lake near Beddgelert, Gwynedd in north Wales. It is formed by the River Glaslyn.
Llyn Dinas lies on the valley floor a few miles north of Beddgelert at an altitude of about 55 metres above sea level. It has an area of 60 acres (240,000 m2) and is fairly shallow, with the maximum depth only 10 metres. The lake offers good fishing for salmon and trout.
It takes its name from the nearby Dinas Emrys, a rocky and wooded hill just downstream of the lake where the remains of both medieval and older fortifications have been found. A rock near the lake named Carreg yr Eryr (The stone of the eagle) was said in a charter of 1198 to mark the spot where the boundaries of the three cantrefs of Aberconwy, Ardudwy and Arfon met. According to Giraldus Cambrensis an eagle used to perch on it once a week, anticipating battle between the men of the three cantrefs.

a man dissolves into the fantasy he walks past — white shirt, white silence, captured in the breath between reflections and skin. the glass does not separate worlds here; it stitches them together with light, commerce, and the shadow of longing.
To recline is to listen inward—an invitation to ease the breath, soften the shoulders, and rest in a moment that asks nothing of us but presence. In the clamor of modern life, where movement is often mistaken for meaning, stillness offers a quiet rebellion.
It’s not laziness or retreat, but a profound form of trust: that we are enough without the constant proving. I think of golden light pooling on a carpet, a cat stretching unapologetically across a windowsill, or the way dusk pours itself gently into a room. Stillness, in these moments, is not absence—it’s grace.
To truly recline is to allow the world to come to us, rather than chase after it. The fire warms not because we tend to it, but because we draw near. In this softened state, we absorb more—beauty, clarity, comfort. We become porous to goodness.
Rest is no longer a reward for exhaustion; it’s a recognition of worth. There’s something sacred in that surrender, where movement gives way to meaning felt rather than forged. And in that space, reclined and receptive, we remember a truth too often forgotten: that stillness doesn’t diminish us—it completes us.
it was quite dark so I pulled up the shadows a bit to see this handsome ...I think..sharp shinned hawk. If the id is wrong, please let me know.

Early morning hike through the mystical Badewald near Nideggen, Germany. From shadowy forest paths to blooming meadows, this photohike led us to the legendary Sinusstein and an ancient burial mound beneath old oak trees. A magical blend of history, light, and springtime awakening.
From the Right Bank of the Seine, a majestic view unfolds: the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower rises behind the dome of the Institut de France, embraced by historic architecture and the whispering leaves of summer trees. Above, a dramatic sky breaks open with a golden beam — a divine spotlight casting grace over Paris. The city, ancient and modern, breathes in the light as if history itself were glowing.

From Jamestown’s salt marshes, the setting sun casts a golden glow over Narragansett Bay. The Claiborne Pell Bridge links to Newport in the distance, its silhouette stretching across warm reflections and whispering grasses. A quiet moment of natural and structural grace, uniquely Rhode Island.
down in the glade are many wild plum trees which the birds feast on through the summer....we've had a warm spell and every bud that could burst has....

Sally Holmes is the most hardworking rose. She is still blooming even after being pounded with rain. Her ever changing form ranges from elegant to blousy and her color palette moves from soft white to hues of pink
In this photograph, I was struck by the dramatic contrast between the stormy skies and the serene autumn landscape. The sun’s rays piercing through the cloud cover add a dynamic and divine quality to the scene, highlighting the vibrant fall foliage along the lake's edge. The calm waters create a near-perfect reflection, disturbed only by the subtlest of ripples, which adds a gentle texture to the otherwise mirror-like surface. The composition balances the elements of sky, land, and water, capturing the fleeting beauty of an autumnal afternoon on the brink of a weather change.

Shot during sunset from my balcony in Niittykumpu, Espoo, Finland. The sky turned red as an airplane flew across a beautiful moment caught mid-dinner.

As dusk descends over Lower Largo, the rocks rise like half-submerged memories from the Firth of Forth. Green moss glows in the fading light, the sand still wet with stories. A landscape not quite ready to sleep.

During our stay in Pärnu, on the way from Riga to Vilnius, I captured this moment while walking along the beach just before a storm hit. I came across the Hedon Spa Hotel, and although the composition wasn’t what initially drew me in, it was the light. The sky was a deep, dark blue, and the sun, peeking through the clouds, cast beams of light on people sitting on the terraces of their rooms, almost like stage lighting in a theater – Pärnu, Estonia.
As an enthusiastic amateur photographer I have never tried portraits, so this is a first for me.It was a very bright and sunny day in August so getting the lighting right was a priority. Taking many photos on different settings till I got the shot I was happy with. I think its a warm atmospheric tone without being too bright!

Took this just minutes before the sun disappeared for the day, catching the last bit of color for the evening.
Thanks for viewing!
From Pic des 3 Seigneurs, I waited for the moment when storm clouds parted to create these dramatic light rays over the valley. The mountainous landscape creates layers of depth while the crepuscular rays add an almost spiritual dimension to the scene.
A mesmerizing scene filled with colorful lanterns casting a warm, magical glow. Captured during a quiet evening stroll, where lights tell their own stories.
On the way back home, I had the idea to stop at the new UEFA Business Center. I love this building all glassed with these kind of waves for separating floors .... At night, people working there are like fishes in an aquarium (lol) and me, outside, taking several pictures when the very last rays of the sun disappeared for completely offering a wave of a dark raspberry pink light. Overtime on planet Venus... It looks like :)
