Definition of a village: a group of houses and associated buildings, more significant than a hamlet and smaller than a town, situated in a rural area
Definition of home: It is where you hang your hat, where you feel safe to call home, and the people around you are supportive.
L'Asterix is a combination of both. It is a village yet home. It is where people can be without worrying about things around them. Living in peace and serenity......oh, and dang don't forget game nights... not so peaceful then as a bit of competition comes out.
If you have the time come check this out! Landscaping is amazing, and well worth a visit, especially at Sunset

Another important contemporary in the Asterix- stories... Have fun!
It all started with the Obelix bust I created 2 years ago. I knew I would eventually build his partner Asterix, since they share many critical characteristics as the helmet, the nose, ears and cheeks. Then I decided to suggest them both as pair on Lego Ideas because I feel they might generate a lot of interest from big Asterix & Obelix fans like me!
If you feel like it, take the time to support in on Lego Ideas to become an official Lego set.
Aterix, a fine dog I met at Sundsby.
Went to Sundsby to shoot hepatica, but could not resist this nice dog :)

As I tried with LDD some time before, now I have the right parts together and it was time to show my version of Obelix! It's another hommage to Goscinny & Uderzo, on top of my favorite comic- authors and painters... ;) Here we have an update to my former posted Asterix fig, too... Enjoy and have fun!
Well this MOC is from 2018, but only now I got to get some decent pictures of it with the help of the photography wizard Ricky.
On this day in 1965 France launched Astérix, becoming the sixth country to have an artificial satellite and the third country to launch a satellite on its own rocket. Its main purpose was to test the Diamant launcher, though it was also designed to study the ionosphere. Astérix continues to orbit Earth & is expected to remain in orbit for centuries.
I had always thought of Asterix as French, but have now discovered that the original comics were Franco-Belgian. This latter-day Asterix has, it would seem, forsaken the French option and chosen the Belgian one instead. I spotted him at the Castlebar International 4 days Walks so now perhaps he will adopt a new tricolour and become Irish!
The Asterix display at Arte em Peças was truly lovely and something I've never seen done on this scale with LEGO before. When I grew up my dad had all the books, and I pretty much knew them by heart, so this is a personal favourite.
