Associate Degree Nursing students and LPN to RN Articulation students participated in the ADN Pinning Ceremony on Friday, May 19, at Bethel Baptist Church in Galesburg. The annual event for recent graduates is a celebration of the culmination of their efforts from their time in the program and includes the opportunity for family members and loved ones to participate in the ceremony.
On Wednesday, May 14th, 38 groups of the Associates & Affiliates (A&As) came together to celebrate 100 years of commitment in raising significant funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

2022 EERE-ES Research Associate Chelsea Lang, an Integrated Science and Technology major from James Madison University, working on Controlled Conductivity to Enhance Control of Thermal Energy Storage in Albany, Oregon.
Heat Pipes (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_pipe) can be used to increase and control heat-transfer into and out of thermal masses. This project will compare the performance of power systems which use thermal energy storage with and without the operation of heat-pipes. Chelsea will work through the summer will be to show how, and how much, taking control of the effective conductivity of a thermal mass contributes the flexibility of a power system and/or a combined heat & power system. Chelsea will learn the functional limits of heat-pipes and apply them to system models provided by the mentor. By applying heat-pipe behavior to these models, and by investigating design changes which would improve functionality or ease of operation, the intern will help define the merit and scope of adding a "conductivity control" to a power system using thermal energy storage.

Associated” was a site specific show in a severely damaged brownstone on 17th Street in South Slope, Brooklyn. Just after noon on 12 November 2010, a boiler exploded at the Associated Supermarket on 5th Avenue and 17th Street, igniting a fire that tore through the block, destroying Open Source Gallery. Next door to Open Source a three family house–the gallery owners’ home–was also rendered uninhabitable by firefighters' efforts to stop the blaze. The exhibition, "Associated", curated by Monika Wuhrer, Raphaela Riepl and Frank De Leon-Jones resurrects the derelict house with projects by 30 artists.

Another `mystery` pic from my collection. Taken at the original premises of LVVS at Whisby Road in the sixties.
I pencilled on the back "Seen on back of lorry on the A45 on 24/3/76".
This would have been the old A45 trunk road between Cambridge and Quy Church, before the Cambridge by-pass (now A14) was built, so maybe heading for Ipswich?
