It felt like a full assault on the mountain as the seven of us made our way under the cover of darkness to Mt Cook. As we took our positions around the lake the sky lite up with brillant pinks, yellows and orange. It was an amazing sight to behold.

One of many thunderstorm complexes we passed and went through on our way home from the Ozarks yesterday. Nothing severe but impressive and scary nonetheless. It appears this situation will be the norm for awhile-isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast for the rest of the week...
Union Pacific's weekly Bond - Phippsburg local assaults the Crater Loops just outside of McCoy, CO running 3x3x1 with 152 cars of mostly frac sand for Craig.
Coal loads grind upgrade into Austin, MT after having a helper set of 4 MRL ACe's added in the middle of the train just down the line in Helena. This uphill stretch of railroad continues for miles through Mullan Pass, and heavy westbounds necessitate additional assistance to complete the assault on Mullan.

A pair of Shelby assigned CW44's climb the 1% grade through S.E. Trammel as they prepare to enter the north portal of the 7854' long Sandy Ridge Tunnel. This crew ran down to Allen lite and picked up M653’s train from the night before after they were put on Santa Train rescue duty.
Aquatic assault stormtroopers, also known as seatroopers or aquatic troopers, were a specialized branch of the Imperial stormtroopers. They were used by the Galactic Empire to maintain a presence on the many aquatic worlds under its rule. It is unknown if they had any ties to the aquatic Imperial navy.

Continuing my Jersey bunker series - this is an anti-tank bunker near Le Braye Slip. I was lining up for my shot when the paraglider suddenly appeared in the perfect position. It looked like he had just parachuted in - in fact he's taking off, using the bunker as a launch pad!
AR #300 heads light into the town of Raeford, North Carolina minutes before tying up in front of the A&R depot. #300, the railroad's sole GP18, was built for the Aberdeen and Rockfish in 1963.

Yup! I have been pulled from the "dark path" by my recent encounter (and joining) of The AZ LUG.
Also it was spring break and what better to do then build? Also also, in my new room has TONS more space so it was a lot easier to build in.
Anyway I wanted to make an animal based robot of some kind had and what more BA than a panther?! ( I love cats ) Had a great time building this and learned many new techniques and ideas. The tail is one of my favorite parts and is quite stable/flexible.

My first 3D upload, can you believe it? This is my take on [this design] by an awesome artist, Christian Salge.
I did build a physical version of this in preparation for this final design. There were many aspects to work out, especially in the leg joints, but it all came together relatively well in the end, I believe.
It was brutal....
But eventually the mangled and bruised peppercorn made it to the top of the pile of coarse salt.

Support: the team players of the battlefield, the support class serves his team by laying down suppressive fire and placing ammo in locations for his teammates.
Assault: although often overlooked, the cannon fodder of the army is often the decisive factor in a battle. Wearing only the essentials of war - clothes, a gun, and a helmet, his sole purpose is to kill the opposition.
Tanker - The eyes, ears, and brain of the metal behemoths that belch fire and death on the muddied terrain, the tanker aides his allies and decimates his foe via high explosive ordinance.
I hope you guys like these figures and their descriptions! I recently purchased Battlefield 1, and although I have only played it a little, it certainly is inspirational for builds. I recently acquired an Ally and an Axis pack, so I will now be able to somewhat build World War 1 with historically accurate weapons!
