Front-on view of an Assassin Bug was moving around the garden looking for its next meal.
These are horrible looking but curious insects. In the centre of the picture you can see the mouth-parts (or Rostrum) which tucks back under the main body. The Assassin bug has long legs to assist with its ambush attack.
I'm guessing this is either a Common or a Bee Killer Assassin Bug (Pristhesancus plagipennis), which hides on plants waiting for insect to land nearby where it will ambush.

Ptilocnemus lemur Feather Legged Assassin
I have been wanting to see one of these assassin bugs for about three years now, so I was quite pleased to find one on the weekend.
It was sitting on a tree trunk where there was no bark. Its camouflage was very good as its head and thorax matched the colour of the tree trunk. I noticed it because it was waving its feathery hind legs as an ant walked past. They are so fascinating.
It is thought that the assassin bug attract and paralyze ants. The ant initially attracts the ant by waving its legs, then lifts its body to enable the ants to move under its body to enable the ant to reach the paralyzing secretions released from glands on its sternum. The assassin then pierces the body of the ant to feed.

Concept Art and Stills from Assassin’s Creed 3: Over-Logging. A short animated cartoon I wrote, directed, and animated. It is based off of the popular game created by Ubisoft that parodies some of the games key plots.

The Dramatists Legal Defense Fund, in partnership with PEN America, presents Banned Together: A Censorship Cabaret during Banned Books Week 2019 (September 22-28). Produced by different theater groups across the United States, this lively celebration of songs and scenes from shows that have been censored or challenged on the American stage raises awareness around issues of censorship and free expression in theater.
The Dallas regional production will feature selections from Cabaret, Chicago, and Angels in America, among other notable works, with a libretto by DLDF president John Weidman (Assassins) and J.T. Rogers (Oslo, Blood and Gifts). Photos courtesy of Danielle Maggio.

This is located in the digital lab in the photography building at my University.
Although it ruins the ambiguity I thought I reveal the scene.
My friend in the center is notorious for passing out in the building. If it was not for him passing out in quick mask mode while editing his nude swordsman, this scene would have never revealed itself to me.
As for the right panel-
Capturing this was kind of funny. I was required to walk over to my friend's desk and move the mouse in order to revive the vital element in the scene :p Just outside the lab is the light studio where another student was making bank taking nude photos of a girl wearing marijuana decorated lingerie for her boyfriend. I was able to snag a shot as she was on her way to the restroom to exchange 'clothing'
My own personal critique - Although I think I managed to get all the elements needed to make an effective image, I feel like the composition is a bit off despite having all the time in the world to frame it up. If I were to go back and correct something it would probably be crop. I do enjoy the chair on the right leading your eye to the scarcely clothed figure, however It is a little to compact/congested for me to consider this more than a average shot with bit of humor.
