I fell in love with this tree from the bottom of the trail and was astounded to discover it did indeed grow from this rock. It turns out it's not the only one and I have to conclude it's because of trapped moisture. (I should look it up, someone should know) I like this shot the best of the series as it has every color and element that I saw in the desert, hope ya'll like it too. (blow it up to enjoy it best) :-)
Passed this bridge many times on my photography walks, but hestitation has stopped me from photographing it.Not today! :-)
Looking more like a glorified local than a road train, Q559 hustles south at Peterson Road at the south end of Piqua siding, with dual thirty eight dash twos. (I-75 is the bridge in the background.) I wonder if the hogger thinks Miller Lite tastes great or is less filling?

She is an ambitious model with high aspirations. After driving, hiking, and climbing up to the top of the world, Lauren strikes a breezy pose. It was 39 degrees fahrenheit, wind chill of 15 degrees with 35 MPH winds. All in a days work for an aspiring model.
We picked a sunny September day to drive up into the Mt Evans Wilderness Area. The highest highway in North America, the drive winds up through gloriously colorful aspen groves, then through an ancient bristlecone pine tree forest. It continues past gorgeous alpine lakes and fearless, windswept mountain goats on the way to a parking lot near the summit. From the parking lot we hiked up a trail to the summit at 14,271 ft (4,350 m) elevation.

A perfect example of a glacial valley: Glen Lyon looking east from above Bridge of Balgie, birch woodland in the foreground to glacial morain/sand/till deposits amongst the big snow-capped munros, the dull light conveying the first hints of winter.

The Bridge of Aspiration connects London's Royal Opera House to the Royal Ballet School. Built by Wilkinson Eyre Architects and spiraling high above the ground over Floral Street in Covent Garden, its distinctive form has led to it being nicknamed 'the twisted concertina'.
Finn and I saw it today while wandering around London. A lovely day, great weather, my first outing with my new lens - and it's my first non-square shot in ages! There is a square version too and I was so, so tempted to post it but the family said NO!!!
From the buildings and ministract sets.
It looks like a beautiful weekend here on the west coast of North America. Nature is in full bloom and the sun is going to be our friend. Blue skies and explosions.
Have a great Thursday leading into Frididdy and the fun to follow.
ps the title refers to the little brother in the lower right corner.
Though seemingly fully laden, this ambitious fellow appears intent on gathering more from this "mother lode" of pollen...even to the point of losing some in his efforts. There seem to be many lessons, good and bad, to be learned from bees.
Some ideas I have in mind for 2022.
A satellite tracking ship done in play scale, so nothing too fancy or accurate, simple blocky brick-built bow and things like that. A bridge for minifigures, one or two interior sections.
More black and white photos.
I'm slowly stockpiling yellow bricks to do some kind of modular or simple underwater base, in Aquanauts/Aquazone colours, minifig scale with interiors.
I want to try a modular-style home or apartment block with stickers or printed artwork on the walls in a very colourful style. Like giant murals or something. Stickers from redbubble.com or somesuch.
And more Hibernia vehicles. I'm working on one at the moment as it's bloody hot here in Melbourne (37 Celsius today and 38 tomorrow) and I've trying to astral-project myself to a lovely frigid snow world...
Disclaimer: some or all of these ideas might never actually be built owing to my puerile attention span :-)

Proper farewell tribute to the naturally aspirated v12 engine and the 250 TDF. Not much can compare to beautiful skies of Monterey, California and the collaboration of Pininfarina and Ferrari. Not only is this tdf a tribute itself, but this particular vehicle is a tribute to a 250 Lusso Competizione. Both vehicles possessing racing history and stunning giallo bodies.
