Actually this asparagus fern is a weed in our garden....but it did look pretty sparkling with dew drops in the morning sun. Not really able to get out much at the moment, but can still do some processing. So .... HSS :))
A potted asparagus fern that was moved from my livingroom to the front porch. It is growing like a weed!

On occasion, I assist my friend with taking care of a neighbor's garden. The 3 meter high asparagus has red berries in the fall. I love the wispy whimsy of overgrown asparagus:)

this is not to eat! I spotted it displayed inside the Asparagus Museum in Beelitz, Germany among many other tools, items, and all around the asparagus cultivation in this region, which is famous in Germany for the best quality and best tasty white asparagus! What a fortune that Berlin is not far away.. :)
Looking close on Friday! Yummy!! :))

The roof of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, looking along the nave from the altar. The wonderful architecture reminded me of sunflowers and asparagus :-)
Best in original full size.
Asparagus fern (Asparagus sprengeri) have very unnoticeable small flowers and berries. The fully open flowers measure 1/8th of an inch across. The bud measures 1/16th of an inch. Here we get to see the tiny little flowers and buds.
Native to Africa, asparagus fern also goes by these aliases: emerald fern, emerald feather, and lace fern. Dedicated Vintage macro film lens. My back porch. No post processing. No crop. Full frame.
This asparagus (That's also the genus name!) plant has been growing, a couple of blocks from our house, along the road, for decades. Sometimes we see it at the right time and harvest some buds for eating. Not this time. But I liked the rain on the leaves. And yes, they are leaves. Not typical broad ones, but spiky green structures.
Thanks for looking! Isn't God a great artist?
