CAPPADOCIA:
Cappadocia is a historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in the Nevşehir, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Aksaray, and Niğde Provinces in Türkiye.
The name, traditionally used in Christian sources throughout history, continues in use as an international tourism concept to define a region of exceptional natural wonders, in particular characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage.

T'was the night before Christmas
he lived all alone
In a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone
I had come down the chimney with
presents to give
and to see just who in this dweling did
live
I looked all around a strange site to
see
No tinsel, no presents, not even a
tree
No stockings on the mantle just boots filled
with sand
On the wall hung pictures of far
distant lands
Medals and Badges, Awards every
kind
A sobering thought came alive in my
mind
This house was different, it was
dark, it was deary
I had found the home of a
soldier
I could see that most clearly
The soldier lie sleeping, silent, alone
Curled up on the floor in this one
bedroom home
His face was so gentle, the room in
such disorder
Not at all how I pictured a
United States Soldier
Was this the hero of whom I'd just read
Curled up on a poncho, the floor for
a bed
Then I realized the other families
that I saw on this night
Hold their lives to soldiers, who are
willing to fight
In the morning around the
world, the children would play
Grown-ups would celebrate a bright
Christmas Day
But they all enjoy freedom each
month of the year
Because of soldiers like the one lying
here
I couldn't help but wonder, how many
lay alone?
On a cold Christmas Eve in lands far
from home
The very thought brought a tear to my
eye
I dropped to my knees and I
started to cry
The soldier awakened, I heard his
ruff voice
Santa don't cry, this life is my
choice...
...I fight for freedom, I don't ask for
more...
...My life is my God, my country, my
core
The soldier rolled over and drifted to
sleep
But I couldn't control it and I
continued to weep
I kept watch for hours... so silent and
still
as both of us shivered from the cold
nights chill
I didn't want to leave him on that cold
dark night
This guardian of honor, so willing to
fight
then the soldier rolled over with a
voice soft and pure
He whispered Carry on Santa, it's
Christmas Day...
...all secure One look at my watch
and I knew he was right
Merry Christmas my friend, may God
Bless you this night

Ask restaurant was formerly a bank and the curved wall of the building is adorned with some of the 32 caryatids, or armless ladies, which continue along the adjoining terrace of shops. They date from about 1840 and are loosely based on similar columns at the Acropolis in Athens. We are so used to them but they are really quite a sight to behold and something that shouldn’t be missed if visiting Cheltenham.

'One side will make you grow taller, and the other side will make you grow shorter.'
'One side of WHAT? The other side of WHAT?' thought Alice to herself.
'Of the mushroom,' said the Caterpillar, just as if she had asked it aloud; and in another moment it was out of sight.

i'd like to dedicate this photo to LouLou Hill ~owner and creator of Bauhaus Movement.
She was so very very good to me the other day, helped me with a problem and probably one of the most approachable people i have now met.
Her headphones, have been getting so much attention, people have been constantly asking me where to find them , so i will just say here now.
They are at the Crossroads event have a poke around, you will find them.
Her main store is here:

photo shot in Teqi's Lounge , newly rebuilt, very well done ! happy to be a member there !
Recently I was asked about SL Hotels on a Facebook group.
How do they work? Is there RP? Are there really staff on hand to assist you?
It occurred to me that most SL residents are probably like I was 1+ year ago, when I only had the vaguest notion that SL Hotels and Resorts were actually a thing.
So, I've posted a quick intro to the Second Life Hotel landscape
(Location - Wadi Musa Guesthouse and Resort )
Thank you my friend Tyler ! I enjoyed a lot to share this moment with you, It was fun (even with so many crash :))

When I asked her to describe herself, she said " ... gregarious, sensitive, hopeful ..."
Available light was from the kitchen windows. Attempting to get deeper richer tones, I shrank the aperture too much, with ISO 6400 a by-product, and, of course, a lots of noise! I have not tried to clean that up in these images. Instead, I resorted to sepia in two of the shots, resulting in the noise being slightly less obvious.
I find it quite challenging to attend to all the technical necessities while chatting with the subject. But, being housebound now, portrait and bird photography are two horizons for growth I can take on. Am sharing with you my maiden efforts, with all their imperfections. Elizabeth is beautiful and I hope to invite her to sit for me again after I have a little more experience with portrait photography.

The sweet time of love is hidden in the disappearance of the sun.
My son and I are quite the team. For those of you who know Micah from my early Flickr days, he's now 14. A beautiful and growing teenager who has had challenges all his life with being diagnosed with severe autism and intellectual disability from a young age. Despite being non-verbal, he's always had a joyful spirit and loves with his whole heart. A few months ago my heart almost stopped as he begun having seizures. The first was the worst but he's continued to have many of what they call focal seizures since. He's started medication but they are not under control. I'm left trying to find help from hard to contact specialists and it makes me feel like I'm drowning some days because I don't know what else to do to help him. It seems so unfair. I want to rage but I feel sad. So asking for prayers, for him, for me, for a better balance of my spirit xx
