Novus Ascending is a GREAT place to be a mer! If you're not there now come and play with me... who knows you could even get some cool free items from me once in a while ...tops, tails... you will have to see for yourself ♥
This caught my eye. I find it weirdly creepy. Like floating islands ascending towards the heavens. What do you see?

The sun comes up later in the morning now, which means it's dark when I get to work and I get a chance to watch the sunrise as I walk between buildings; today I decided to stop and take a moment to try and get an interesting shot.
I was hoping someone would walk the stairs while I stood watching, but I didn't luck out there.
Still, I think this is an interesting sight; a stair case going up into the sky.
Anyway, quick upload and run for me today. Hope you all had a great day!

We just reached the mountain hut below the summit. on the right there's the small church of sv. Miklavž (St. Nicholas).
Immediately after bycycling to and from a nearby village convenience store where he purchased some breakfast food for his fellow crewmembers and for himself, a young man ascends with ease a wooden ramp toward the front end of a large fishing boat which is moored by the seashore.
Captured in early morning in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.
Steps or ramp on offer, in a Brutalist manner. 1960s.
The simplest kind of bench, in concrete. Not that soft!

Ascending the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel). We used the lift (elevator). Otherwise if we'd had to walk it to the top I think the local A&E would have had 2 more patients...!
As the mind tends to go out turn it inwards then and there. It goes out owing to the habit of looking for happiness outside oneself; but the knowledge that the external objects are not the cause of happiness will keep it in check. This is vairagya or dispassion. Only after perfect vairagya the mind becomes steady.

After a short break, some from our group continued the Grossglockner ascent over the Hofmannskees, while we went by Meletzkygrat directly up. (dia scan)

Happy new year!
Are you waiting for it as well? I admit it’s a ton of fun chasing all the fog and storms. Mood in the city is at 100%. But having a morning like this one in between all of that is a huge bonus. What do you think?
As I climb higher up on to Ben Avon, I get a good view back down the Glen I ascended after leaving the bike to reach the lower slopes of the mountain. It looks so gentle and unassuming from this angle, but it certainly didn't feel so when climbing up it.
Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. They are my 2nd & 3rd Munro's of the season, and bring me to a total of 26 now.
This is the view from Vratca notch ascent across the valley of Ravenska Kočna. The summit in the middle is Goli vrh.
