This one is for Gypsy from her favorite place for Snowy Egrets...I arrived early in the morning and there was just one...so I walked about a bit..then a Great Egret flew in, then another Snowy and another..until there were six Snowy Egrets...Each time a new one landed, the Boss had to go chase them around for awhile..Very entertaining! It was also one of those mornings where they weren't concerned about how close I got to them.

Describing the Creative Journey through Photography:
When I step out of my home, whether for a stroll or an errand, I know I'll be taking photographs. What will I capture? I'm uncertain. The sea, the sunset, the city lights... I photograph whatever my inner being dictates. It's serendipity! Then, when I return home, the real work begins. It's the search for images that tell a story! And the hardest part is the selection—there are images where my inner being says, "Look," but in reality, I don't see the beauty that serendipity provided at first! Then, as I begin to see, comes the astonishment at what has been given to me! But the search and the choice were mine! Just like in life!
This narrative reflects the journey of capturing life's unexpected beauty through the lens of a camera, where the inner intuition guides the eye, and the selection process reveals the surprising beauty found within the mundane moments. It mirrors the complexities of perception and the value of personal choice in cherishing life's nuances.

Sorry to post and run (actually go to bed early tonight), leaving here at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to meet up with MAMA Z.
Had a wonderful day of shooting today, here in Yellowstone National Park. Stormy, crappy morning, but one of the most fantastic afternoon skies ever. This shot proves a very valuable lesson in photography. Look around... I stood here looking at this thing, thinking, 'how can I possibly get a decent shot of this?' I'm not up high enough for any perspective at all. I would need to get up in a helicopter to capture this whole lake, and all the colors around it. Then I look off to my left, away from the lake and saw this amazing scene. No... This is not enhanced in Photoshop. The colors of Yellowstone are amazing! Aqua water, and rock formations in every color you can imagine. Wet areas like this are all kinds of crazy colors from all the different Bacteria and stuff living in the hot, mineral rich water.
Un petit hommage au fameux monde de J.K. Rowling...20 ans déjà que, comme beaucoup, j'ai également "fréquenté" les bancs de l'Ecole des Sorciers...je me souviens encore des heures passées (souvent jusqu'à très tard dans la nuit) à dévorer littéralement les livres et de l'impatience ressentie en attendant le prochain tome !
Une grande source d'inspiration qui, aujourd'hui encore, se retrouve dans mes photos, où la magie est toujours un peu présente ;-)

Rowling...20 years already that, like many, I also "frequented" the benches of the Wizarding School...I still remember the hours spent (often until very late at night) to literally devour the books and the impatience felt while waiting for the next volume!

As I traveled out of Merced on Hwy 59 I saw the most amazing cloud formations and this rainbow...From the winds at the refuge, a tree full of Turkey Vultures in Snelling (will post those later) and then these fantastic cloud formations, a day to remember. I stopped at a ranch to ask if I could photograph their windmill and the nice cowboy there had also taken shots of this amazing scene!

I shot this yesterday afternoon, from the front porch of a friends house. I'm visiting a friend in Lake George, Colorado. I'm sure you've heard of Lake George. Lake George... Population 7! Anyway, this was one of the most brilliant rainbows I have ever seen. I shot this with my 300mm lens with a polarizer.
This photo is dedicated to my friend down in Alabama, Mr. BamaWester. The rainbow is his peoples symbol.
I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Greg.Magee this afternoon and we were so very fortunate to see this beautiful young Fox...He is staring right at Greg and showed very little fear. It was truly a magical moment!
