My first attempt at a bass-ackwards try at a fake TTV. Don't ask me how I got this as it was the result of many attempts and failures.
Para aquentar o calor ate Ela ta pedindo sombra....
Bonito o dia 40 graus...
So um bom vinho rose pra completar o clima.
Bom dia a todos.
To be able to withstand the heat, even Lady Liberty is asking God to send her a umbrella, she only wants some shade...
Beautiful day, almost 40 Celsius, 97, or a bit over with the heat index.
To make it better, a nice Rose wine would make it just perfect.
Good day everyone...

The last two of this small series. It was fun to make something different with essentially the same ingredients. While as a group they hang together, I love that each has its own personality.
Or Chocolate cake???? Took a friend out for lunch who needed cheering up. She’d had lots of advice off people about what to do. Me – I just gave her 2 choices – Lemon Sorbet or Chocolate cake. You know what to do sweetie.
By the way – we both had chocolate cake:))))
What would you have chosen?:)))

Ashness Bridge is perhaps the most photographed packhorse bridge in the Lake District with stunning views and location.
It has been photographed a million times...so why, I thought yesterday, am I doing it as well?
But, I realised that landscape photography is good for me, physically, mentally & emotionally. I see the beauty around me, discover new places, see the world in new ways. Watching the sun come up or seeing the dramatic clouds change as they move across the sky becomes my focus on capturing the wonder of nature. And, if that means photographing a scene that millions have done before me, does it matter? It's new to me, it's special to me, I may never go back, I may never see it again, but in that moment, it was mine & ultimately shooting landscapes allows me to capture the magic and awe that is our world.
This image of the lively waters cascading down the mountain to the Lakes below yesterday, represented to me, why I love Landscape Photography & the belief that the moment most worthy is the one where you pull back the curtain on what was always going to be there and make that moment yours....it doesn't matter and never will that its been photographed before....
The Allegory of Fame is a painting by the Dutch Golden Age artist Gerard de Lairesse (1641-1711). Gerard de Lairesse was a renowned painter and art theorist in the 17th century, known for his contributions to Dutch Classicism.
The Allegory of Fame, also known as "Fama", is one of his notable works and depicts the allegorical figure of Fame. In Greek mythology, Fame, also known as Pheme, was the personification of fame and renown. In Roman mythology, she was called Fama.
The painting typically shows a female figure with outstretched wings, symbolizing the widespread reach of her influence and reputation. She is often portrayed with a trumpet or a horn, which she uses to announce the achievements and accomplishments of individuals to the world.
Fame was a popular subject in Renaissance and Baroque art, and artists often depicted her in various poses and contexts to convey different aspects of her influence and power.
In Gerard de Lairesse's version of the Allegory of Fame, he likely imbued the composition with his distinctive style, characterized by a grand and classical aesthetic. His paintings were influenced by classical antiquity, and he was particularly inspired by the works of Italian Renaissance artists, such as Raphael and Michelangelo.
Or is it Croci? Or Crocii?
They have been out for while, but looking a bit sorry for themselves. These are the first ones that are strong and bright. Beautiful weather for photographers, as well.
