Like every year during my travels in Sète I track my friend Joel Bast, www.joelbast.fr/ home in his hut, in the streets of Sète on the occasion of artistic events ... to capture his "presences".

A series during my stay in May 2015, for the singular festival Images
The Artist Point trail at Mount Baker, Washington is a huge payoff hike for little effort; but apparently late July was a little too early, as there was still 3 metres of snow at this elevation.
This is independent and multidisciplinary artist Awilda Sterling Duprey from San Juan, Puerto Rico performing her series Blindfolded at NXTHVN in New Haven, Connecticut. In this performance, Sterling Duprey allowed her body to feel and translate live jazz music into rhythmic bodily movements articulated into bright pastel markings, lines, and textures onto black construction paper.
There were six talented local jazz musicians performing who could not see her movements while they played, and of course she couldn't see them as she worked.

This is an area of Betws y Coed that provides beautiful walking routes. This waterfall was quite lovely following a rainy few days.
Visiting the Windpump at Horsey recently, I noticed this artist capturing his version of the scene.
I hope he managed to finish it before the rain arrived an hour later.
This was a pretty cool spot, but extremely crowded. Probably the most crowded spot we went to the whole trip (besides Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful)

Such a perfectly named feature, the variety of colors in these eroded hills in Death Valley come from volcanic deposits of iron oxides and chlorite.
Well, I'm briefly back from a "grand" trip up to Lake Superior and the North Shore area. (No angry bear issues this trip!)
I had the pleasure of having breakfast with Monica (lablover47) in Two Harbors on Monday morning, then proceeded up Route #61. More photos to follow soon...
I'm heading back to northwest Wisconsin yet this week to visit friends. I will try to catch up next week!
