Canterbury is a historic English cathedral city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated in the heart of the City of Canterbury, a local government district of Kent, England. It lies on the River Stour.
Canterbury is a popular tourist destination: consistently one of the most-visited cities in the United Kingdom, the city's economy is heavily reliant upon tourism. The city has been occupied since Paleolithic times and served as the capital of the Celtic Cantiaci and Jute Kingdom of Kent. Many historical structures fill the area, including a city wall founded in Roman times and rebuilt in the 14th century, the ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and a Norman castle, and the oldest extant school in the world, the King's School. Modern additions include the Marlowe Theatre and the St Lawrence Ground, home of the Kent County Cricket Club. There is also a substantial student population, brought about by the presence of the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University, the University for the Creative Arts, and the Girne American University Canterbury campus. Canterbury remains, however, a small city in terms of geographical size and population, when compared with other British cities.

While we were in Chiang Mai we took the opportunity to look around some of the craft villages that the city is famous for. The best place that we went to look at was this place where they still make traditional unmbrellas both for shade and rain.
Inside the Cherry Hill Church, Highway 16, South of Culbertson, Montana. These drawings have been on the wall for more than 20 years. Possibly as long as forty years.

This was the most intense aurora I’ve ever seen. With a jaw-dropping corona above, dancing curtains, rotating vortices and lightning-like events extending all the way to each horizon, nearly every square inch of the sky – for a full 360 degrees – was filled with color. This was taken about 150 miles north of the arctic circle, during a geomagnetic storm that registered a Kp=6. Moments like this quickly make up for weeks in the unbearable cold.

Through the hilly landscape some roads lead as serpentines, since you have to overcome the heights. The island is anything but not flat. In itself you need only to drive around and you will get a lot of beautiful views. Each curve holds new perspectives and it is fun to watch the sun from a little further up when she sets over the sea.
Weiter zu den Straßen Kretas:
durch die hügelige Landschaft führen einige Straßen als Serpentinen, da man hier sehr schnell einige Höhenmeter überwinden muss. Die Insel ist alles andere als flach. An sich braucht man hier nur etwas Auto fahren und man erhält dabei sehr viele schöne Ausblicke. Jede Kurve hält teilweise neue Perspektiven bereit und es macht Spaß der Sonne von etwas weiter oben beim Untergehen über dem Meer zuzuschauen.

Her first film was "Exotica, Erotica, etc.". I just saw her second mesmerizing and poetic documentary movie 'Obscuro barroco". It`s an amazing unique experience! It won a Jury Award from the Teddy Award programm at 2018 Berlin International Film Festival.

I took this picture of her at the 20th Documentary Film of Thessaloniki. It`s not a good one, because of the low light, but i think that it captures something of her intriguing and fascinating personality.

mackeral on a bed of long grain rice alongside a nest of spinach and diced sweet peppers, mango, pickled sweet red pepper, servings of raspberry sauce and plum butter, all sprinkled with milled flaxseed and seasoned with coarse black pepper
frozen mackeral sprinkled with oregano, covered and microwaved. my microwave has two settings - cook and defrost
i microwaved on defrost to slowly cook the frozen fish.
fish can be microwaved on a much higher setting and therefore cooked much more quickly but i'm happy with the defrost setting. the fish stays intact, doesn't overcook and i can get on with cooking other things in the kitchen for the meal and not worrying about it

this is just a little part of a work that is originally about 6meters long and 17cm high.
i did it for a course, where we had the lection to do a self-portrayal just showing our articles of daily use.
These gangsters all had nicknames: "Machine Gun" Kelly, "Pretty Boy" Floyd, etc. Interesting stuff to read about...I really loved the old newspaper articles.
