My kids are having a holiday this week, so it's quality time. What better place than to spend it at the zoo? I took this shot of this wonderful creature with my Powershot camera. It was taken at the zoo in Amsterdam, Artis.

Una città più allegra, molta gente a prendere un caffè ai tavolini all'aperto. Qui di fronte al teatro Carlo Felice e all'Accademia di Belle Arti, , ormai chiusi da più di un anno.

Musei, teatri , gallerie d'arte, tutto chiuso. La scuola ha riaperto parzialmente solo ieri. Abbiamo raggiunto 120.000 decessi e anche ieri più di 300. Però è importante prendere un caffè. Bisogna difendere la libertà ( Dicono ).

They're not endemic to The Netherlands - although a few live in ARTIS. Moreover, Gyps fulvus is endangered, But in 2007 about 100 of them came to The Netherlands apparently as members of a population in the Pyrenees.

They're majestic animals and it's hard to imagine that they feel at home in their ARTIS cage, no matter how well they're cared for.
