I went out this morning with one thing in mind to take for today and I even took it.
However on my way home I stopped to look at the paintings in a art workshop and noticed this Hoverfly on a painting in the window. I took this one through the window, but got a couple of others from inside, having asked permission.
It was all too much, an insect on oils was far more fun than what I gone out to take. Plus I can always take the other thing another day as it won't be going anywhere.

A wonderful work created by one of my learners over two days at my Mosaic Masterclass at Lamport Hall.
The design is based on an album cover 'Hits and Exit Wounds' by the band Alabama 3 and the mosaic is to be a gift for a friend.

Watered Roots a beautiful work of art shows that we must cherish everything that trees offer us. The most beautiful thing in life, is that humans communicate with non-human beings through meditation and deep sense. We should thank peasants who water young roots of our historic olives.

We started to paint the umbrellas today and the children from N2 Rockets worked outside, mark-making in the sun. Watch this space for the growing umbrella art installation!
The children from Kindergarten 2 Big Dippers are preparing for their end of year exhibition as they consider 'where we are in place and time'. Zara decided to build "an airport" for the future and got to work constructing with tiles and plastic samples, to create this super-elaborate structure.
It's not finished yet, so let's see how it grows!
