Just playing with the mosaic software at bighugelabs.com/mosaic.php - combined some images of the photographs I took at places along the coast side by side with the completed paintings.

Trying to show the representative side of my work.

Images: Beach huts near Bournemouth, Eastbourne beach, cliffs at The Needles on Isle of Wight, and surf in Brighton.

i'm mixing up pans for some location sketching. here i'm mixing various shades of browns and dark grays. i try to mix the pans from scratch when I can. I'm using Burnt Sienna, Ultra Marine Blue, and red.

I have mostly been painting with Schminke but have recently started Daniel Smith, which I feel is superior.

Here I am working on the big door painting. I had a heck of a time fitting this baby in the car to drive home. Even with a van, eight feet is a whole lot of painting to negotiate...
