Water is low compared to what it will be in the winter, but salmon were working their way up stream -- someone pointed some out to me, they blended into the browns of the water in the deep spots where they hang out between the effort of getting up drops.
And, I'm not hiking with others, so have used a tripod which gives good results when seen large; click on photo or use "L" key
Chuckanut Creek flows through Arroyo Park, which is just outside of Bellingham, WA. The creek was full of salmon spawning. While making this photo, one was just below the camera splashing in the shallows. An amazing place so close to home.
Fall depends on Chuckanut Creek in the Pacific Northwest. Rain is falling, salmon are spawning, turkey is soon to be cooking. What great time of year!
