Face fear, danger or adversity (physical or moral). Personal courage has long been associated with our Army. With physical courage, it is a matter of enduring physical duress and at times risking personal safety. Facing moral fear or adversity may be a long, slow process of continuing forward on the right path, especially if taking those actions is not popular with others. You can build your personal courage by daily standing up for and acting upon the things that you know are honorable.

On January 18, 2021, volunteers from the Vicenza military community joined forces on Caserma Ederle to page homage and celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The 2021 theme, “Remember! Celebrate! Act! A Day On, Not A Day Off!” honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy and his vision for equality for all. Coordinated by the Vicenza Women of Color, and supported by USO Vicenza and Vicenza Community Club, the event saw Soldiers, civilians and Family members team up for a beautification effort of the post and reflect together on the work and legacy of King.
