My dad was in the army. He was instructed to lace his boots in this pattern because this way, if the laces became untied, the boot would not readily loosen up.

Emerging from their communal silk nests in April, the ranks of the brown-tail moth caterpillars are on the move. In the wild, such as here in a nature reserve, they form part of an ecosystem - food for birds specifically. In your garden they are a pest and a health hazard. Those hairs can cause skin rashes, and be problematic to asthma or hay-fever sufferers. And meanwhile they’re busy destroying your shrubs and fruit trees. Nature sure loves a survivor…

Mid Caption: Infantry soldiers defused an intricate hostage scenario without firing a shot as part of the Australian Army’s most complex exercise to date – Exercise Hamel 2010.
In an exercise scenario at the Tully military airfield in North Queensland, the infantry soldiers from 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment showed their high professionalism in an Air Mobile Operation using Black Hawk helicopters from the 5th Aviation Regiment, that had been designed by exercise controllers to result in a firefight.
The Australian soldiers were also supported by a contingent of United States Marines participating in the exercise.

Despite being 7.5 hours from home, BNSF still managed to send us something familiar, that being CP SD70ACU 7020, painted in NATO Green, leading an E-MLMEBM. We chased it out of Grand Island, seen here rounding the curve in Cairo, NE

In 2019, the legend of the Danish flag turns 800: 800 years after the battle in Estonia, the red-and-white flag has gained widespread use among the population of Denmark – for birthdays, funerals and practically everything in between.
Up until today, in many homes in Denmark, parents tell their children the legend of how the Danish flag came about.
In the early 13th century, the Danish king Valdemar Sejr (Valdemar the Victorious) led his army on a crusade in present-day Estonia. During a battle on June 15, 1219, the Danes were on the defensive when suddenly a red banner with a white cross fell from the sky. As a result, the luck changed, the Danish army won, and Denmark got its flag.

When i saw the first pictures of the Armymen i knew i had to do something with them.
Enjoy!
Some parts are spraypainted.
Edit: Please don´t invite me into any military groups.
I know that this is military stuff, but i was more thinking real toy soldiers scale
than putting it into a real war aspect.
Maybe i should have added a big lawn mower and some ants to the diorama.
WAR SUCKS!
Felt like building a vig to display my custom printed figs, so here we are.
Built over the course of the last 3 days, this build is loosely inspired by the Aldhani dam from "Andor", mixed with some brutalist WWII style bunker-ish bits.
Let me know what you think!
