Grand Canyon View. Of all the places I visited along the South Rim this was my favorite vantage point. I really liked these old trees.. Next trip I do I will be doing from the Canyon floor...

Gold and silver were mined here but the area contained the largest deposits of copper ever found anywhere at anytime.
After mining, less than a 100 people remained in Jerome and it became known for a time as a ghost town. But locals turned to tourism and the town today can be crowded on weekends and hsa many established galleris, restaurants, gift shops, a mining museum and state park in this National Historic Landmark.
