Arise!, I exclaimed, and they rose.
This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord Seikosha-MX (Chiyoko) TLR using Chiyoko Rokkor 75mm f/3.2 & 3.5 lenses with a HOYA 49mm Infrared [R72] filter attached to a 30mm to 49mm Bayonet TLR adapter using Rollei IR 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.
While going through old photos some time ago, I found that I have seen more birds than I was aware of, on my travels before I got that into birds as I am now.
This is an Australian pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) in a park on Bali many years ago.
There are 8 pelican species in the world, and this is the only one that breeds in Australia.
It is widespread on the inland and coastal waters of Australia and New Guinea, and also in Fiji, parts of Indonesia and as a vagrant in New Zealand.
It has been recorded as having the longest bill of any living bird. It mainly eats fish, but will also consume birds and scavenge for scraps if the opportunity arises.

Another recent shot with the Canon 50mm f1.8 LTM from the 1950s. Having fun with the post processing again whilst always trying to keep the fundamentals of the original shot intact. Enjoying developing this style :-)

“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man”
This shot was made from music combined with smokes, in this case i used the song Arise Within you from the 3rd. Birthday
Sunrise on Armand Bayou. This was one of the scenes in the morning sunrise sequence that I posted earlier. Taken on Armand Bayou near Bay Area Park.
Just had this camera yesterday, and this morning Alhamdulillah I've got a chance to shoot a beautiful morning sunrise at Putrajaya. No HDR was done in this image. By using a single raw file, you can get what you want.. I'm lovin' it!!

Day 1 and I'm already behind eeek! And landing in the foilage at Fairelands Junction. The foilage and a filter made for a fun picture!
Possibly the final shot of my mandarin duck encounter in the Lake District. This particular male just stretched up and flapped his wings before settling on the water again. I was fortunate enough to capture him at the right moment.

Pentax 6x7, SMC Takumar 105mm f2.4, Very old J&C Classic Pan 200 developed in HC110 Dil B 7.5 minutes.
The Classic Pan is quite old (J&C shut down in 2007) and is reported to be re-branded Forte 200 (I never had the chance to verify this.) For some reason I seem to get better results using HC110 Dil H for 15 minutes rather than DIl B for 7.5 and will be switching to Dil H as I shoot out the last of my stock of this film.
